Mining Privilege to be struck off the Register.—Notice under the Mining Amendment Act, 1914.

NOTICE is hereby given that, if within three months from the date hereof cause is not shown to the contrary, the mining privilege mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the Register, in pursuance of section 30, subsection (3), of the Mining Amendment Act, 1914.

No. 2826. Date, 15/3/09. Extended alluvial claim, situated at Naseby–Kyebrun Road, held by Ah Toey.

Land Surveyors Examination, September, 1921, Australia and New Zealand.

The Surveyors Board of New Zealand,

IT is hereby notified, for general information, that the Surveyors Board, in conjunction with the Australian Surveyors Boards, will conduct an examination of candidates for licenses to survey, commencing at 10 a.m. on Monday, 26th September, 1921, at Wellington.

Candidates are notified that their applications, on the proper form, together with plans and field-books, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Thursday, 15th September, and that the examination fee of £1 1s. must be paid at the same time to the Secretary, from whom examination regulations, application forms, and other particulars may be obtained.

The amount of postage must also be remitted if plans and field-books are desired to be returned.

THE following Notices to Mariners, which have been received from the Department of Ports and Harbours, Melbourne, and the Minister of State for Communications, Tokyo, are published for general information.

VICTORIA.

ALTERATIONS TO WHITE SECTOR, PILE LIGHT, SOUTH CHANNEL, PORT PHILLIP.

MARINERS and others are hereby notified that, on or about the 1st August, 1921, the sector of white light covering the fairway for heavy-draught ships between No. 15 gas-buoy and the pile light will be reduced on the southern side by 6½ degrees. The full arc will then be 8 degrees, and the light will show white between the bearings of N. 88° W. and S. 84° W., instead of N. 81½° W. and S. 84° W., as at present.

JAPAN.

SOUTH COAST OF HOKKAIDO.

Notice is hereby given that the candle-power and the visibility of the light of Kushiro-zaki Lighthouse, Province of Kushiro, Hokkaido, have been changed since the 5th of June, 1921.

Kushiro-zaki Lighthouse.—Candle-power, 30,000 candles; visible distance, 18½ nautical miles (34·3 km.) in clear night. Note.—Position, &c., remain without change.


Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Registrar dissolving a Society.

I, ROBERT EDWARD HAYES, Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that The Soldiers’ Club House (Incorporated) is no longer carrying on its operations and has no assets, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved, in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Otago Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease and license of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

PASTORAL Run No. 20, Kuripapango, 5,532 acres. Tutawake Hiraka and Wiremu Duncan (former lessees). Reason for forfeiture: Non-compliance with conditions of lease as to destruction of rabbits.

S.T.L., Section 3, Block VI, Moeangiangi Survey District, 926 acres; and S.T.L., Section 10a, Block II, Moeangiangi Survey District, 5 acres. Formerly held by D’Arcy Walter Iles. Forfeited at request of selector.

Lands in North Auckland Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 2nd August, 1921.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 3rd day of October, 1921.

The land may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for sixty-six years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of sixty-six years and a right to acquire the freehold.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 5th day of October, 1921, at 10 o’clock a.m.

The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.
