IN pursuance of the powers delegated to me under paragraph (d) of section 8 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority conferred by subsection (1) of section 21 of the Post and Telegraph Amendment Act, 1919, as amended by subsection (2) of section 3 of the Post and Telegraph Amendment Act, 1920, do hereby authorize the following officers to take declarations of Telegraph officers for the purpose of the said section 21 :—

Grading of Teachers, 1921.—Members of Appeal Boards appointed.

IT is hereby notified, for general information, that the Appeal Board for the year 1921 set up to hear appeals in connection with the grading of teachers in accordance with clause 2 of the regulations for appeals of teachers against their classification or grading, made by Order in Council of the 13th June, 1921, will consist of—
Chairman: Joseph William Poynton, Stipendiary Magistrate.
Representative of Education Department: Theophilus Benjamin Strong, M.A., B.Sc.
Representatives of the certificated teachers:
North Island—Bertie Newman Thornton Blake, M.A., and Norman Heyworth Sanger Law.
South Island—Christopher Thomas Ascheman and Frederick Giles Gibbs, M.A.

Notice fixing the Closing-hours of all the Grocers’ Shops in the City of Nelson, under the Shops and Offices Act, 1908.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the grocers’ shops in the City of Nelson, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the city shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, at 5.30 p.m., on Fridays at 6 p.m., and on Saturdays at 5 p.m.; provided that should the occupier of any shop affected by this requisition observe, pursuant to the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, Saturday as the statutory closing-day, then and in such case the closing-hour on Wednesday for any such shop shall be 5.30 p.m.:
And whereas I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the grocers’ shops within the City of Nelson:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, I do hereby direct that on and after the 1st day of August, 1921, all the grocers’ shops within the City of Nelson shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, at 5.30 p.m., on Fridays at 6 p.m., and on Saturdays at 5 p.m.; provided that should the occupier of any shop affected by this requisition observe, pursuant to the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, Saturday as the statutory closing-day, then and in such case the closing-hour on Wednesday for any such shop shall be 5 p.m., in pursuance of section 41 of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918.
The notices published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th January, 1906, and the 20th December, 1906, respectively, fixing the closing-hours of grocers’ shops in the City of Nelson, are hereby cancelled as from the date of coming into operation of this notice.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the New Zealand Federated Shop Tailors, Tailoresses, Machinists, and Pressers’ Industrial Association of Workers, registered No. 941, situated at Dunedin, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 21 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial association after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.

Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Registrar dissolving a Society.
I, ROBERT EDWARD HAYES, Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that The Ngapara Saleyards Trust is no longer carrying on its operations and has no assets, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved, in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.
