HIS Excellency the Governor-General has approved of the dismissal of No. 13/5008, Harold Raymond Bates, 4th Battalion, Auckland Regiment, from the New Zealand Defence Forces, under section 6 (b), Defence Act, 1909, he having been convicted by the Civil power.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the Borough of Otahuhu.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 21st July, 1921.

PURSUANT to section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, it is hereby notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, being part of the Borough of Otahuhu, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General praying that the said area may be excluded from the said borough and included in the County of Manukau. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration which they desire to make within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF OTAHHU.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, being Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of a subdivision of Fairburn’s Grant No. 269A, Manurewa Claim, Parish of Manurewa, situated in Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District, containing by admeasurement 34 acres 1 rood 39 perches, more or less. Bounded on the north by Tamaki River, on the east by Otaki Creek (a branch of Tamaki River), on the south-east by a public road, and on the south-west by the Auckland-Waikato Railway Reserve.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1913, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the Woodlands Drainage District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed inclusion which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE INCLUDED IN WOODLANDS DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 154 acres 3 roods 29 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 1A (part of Kuranui Block) on plan 3558, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland. Bounded towards the north by a public road and the Auckland-Thames Railway Reserve, towards the north-east by a stream to its confluence with the Waitakaruru Stream, towards the south-east by the Waitakaruru Stream, towards the south-west by part of Lot 1A shown on deposited plan No. 9525, and towards the north-west by a public road.
