HIS Excellency the Governor-General has approved of the dismissal of No. 13/5008, Harold Raymond Bates, 4th Battalion, Auckland Regiment, from the New Zealand Defence Forces, under section 6 (b), Defence Act, 1909, he having been convicted by the Civil power.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the Borough of Otahuhu.

PURSUANT to section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, it is hereby notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, being part of the Borough of Otahuhu, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General praying that the said area may be excluded from the said borough and included in the County of Manukau. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration which they desire to make within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

Bounded on the north by Tamaki River, on the east by Otaki Creek (a branch of Tamaki River), on the south-east by a public road, and on the south-west by the Auckland-Waikato Railway Reserve.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1913, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the Woodlands Drainage District.
