Revoking a Warrant opening Land in Hawke's Bay Land
District for Sale or Selection.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon
me by section five of the Land Act, 1908, and of every
other power enabling me in that behalf, I, John Rushworth,
Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrants dated the eighth
day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and
published in Gazette No. 67, of the fourteenth day of that
month, pages 1902 and 1903, opening Section 2, Block XIII,
Tuahu Survey District; Section 2, Block XXII, Waiau
Survey District; and Section 3, Block XIII, Taramarama
Survey District, Hawke's Bay Land District, for sale or
selection under the said Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 20th day of July, 1921.

Opening Land in Hawke's Bay Land District for Sale or
Selection.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John
Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of
the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section
one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be
open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the sixth day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one; and
also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at
the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be
selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable
able lease; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the
said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in
the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land
shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the
provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Wairoa County.—Waiau Survey District.

SECTION 2, Block XXII: Area, 3,172 acres 1 rood. Capital
value, £3,800.* Occupation with right of purchase: Half-
yearly rent, £95. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £76.

  • Includes value of fencing on the section.

Fairly easy sloping country, has a little native grass, but
is chiefly in fern, with patches of scrub. Situated about
thirty-five miles from Wairoa.

SECOND CLASS LAND.

Wairoa County.—Taramarama Survey District.

Section 3, Block XIII: Area, 748 acres 1 rood. Capital
value, £2,060.+ Occupation with right of purchase: Half-
yearly rent, £51 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent,
£41 4s.

+Includes £25 value of fencing.

Consists of easy slopes and a small terrace, all covered with
heavy scrub and fern; fair soil, well watered. Situated
about nine miles from Wairoa by the Wairoa-Putere dray-road.

Opening Land in Hawke's Bay Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

Altitude from 1,800 ft. to 3,600 ft. above sea-level. The
country towards the back is steep and broken, but easier
towards the road. All in mixed bush, chiefly birch, with some
totara, miro, and hinau throughout. Some undergrowth of
supplejack, horopito, karamu, and mahoe in the gullies.
Well watered by permanent streams. About thirty-five miles
from the port of Wairoa.

General, this 20th day of July, 1921.

Opening Settlement Lands in Otago Land District for Selection.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the
Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and amendments, I, John
Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the
settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be
open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the
twelfth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-one, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule;
and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased
under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—SECOND-CLASS
LAND.

Bellamy Settlement.—Tuapeka County.—Beaumont and Tua-
peka West Survey Districts.

SECTION 9A: Area, 418 acres 0 roods 7 perches; capital
value, £2,410; half-yearly rent, £54 4s. 6d.

Weighted with £295, valuation for house, shed, and fencing.

Bellamy Settlement is situated on the main road from
Lawrence to Roxburgh. The section is situated about two
miles and three-quarters from Beaumont Township and
railway-siding. The soil is a black loam, on a sandy clay
subsoil. Altitude ranges from 250 ft. to 1,100 ft. above sea-
level.

The improvements included in the capital value of the
land consist of fencing, &c., valued at £205 13s. 6d.

General, this 21st day of July, 1921.

Portion of a Primary-education Endowment in Maketu Survey
District, Auckland Land District, set apart as a Site for
a Public School.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section five of the Education Reserves
Amendment Act, 1911, it is enacted that the Governor-
General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of
the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments
vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the
Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, set apart as sites
for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any
part of such reserves or endowments:

And whereas the Land Board of the Auckland Land
District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the
portion of the primary-education endowment described in the
Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public
school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recom-
mendation:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts
aforesaid, do hereby set apart the portion of the primary-
education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a
site for a public school.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
2 acres, more or less, being Lot 1 of Section 9, Block VII,
Maketu Survey District. Bounded towards the south-east
and south-west by other part 9 of aforesaid Block VII,
768.7 and 304.2 links respectively; towards the north-west
generally by a public road, 59, 87.3, 116.2, 149, and 87 links;
and towards the north by aforesaid road, 148.2 and 364.7 links:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is
delineated on plan marked L and S. 6/3/196, deposited in
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon edged purple. (Auckland plan 21582, blue.)

General, this 19th day of July, 1921.
