of the industrial union or association, as the case may be, upon which service is to be effected, or, except in the case of a first citation in any matter, by advertisement in such daily newspaper or newspapers circulating in the district affected as the Clerk of Awards in each case shall deem sufficient, and in such last-mentioned case the Clerk of Awards may make such amendments to the prescribed forms as shall be necessary for the purpose of service by advertisement.

“(2.) No notice shall be served by the Clerk of Awards by way of advertisement unless and until each person concerned has been previously served with a notice in the form No. 27A that any further notice in the matter may, in the absence of objection, be given by advertisement in a daily newspaper or newspapers circulating in the district.

“(3.) The notice that any further notice in a dispute may in the absence of objection be given by advertisement shall be in the form No. 27A.

Regulations under the Government Accident Insurance Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of January, 1921.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the Government Accident Insurance Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the regulations made on the twenty-second day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, prescribing the rates of premium to be charged to employers for insurance against their liabilities under the Workers’ Compensation Act, 1908, and its amendments, and at common law in respect to accidents to workers employed by them, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the following regulations; and doth hereby order that this present Order in Council shall be read with the Order in Council made under the said Act on the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and shall take effect on and after the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.

SCHEDULE.

(b.) EMPLOYERS’ POLICY.

FOR all policies effected or renewed on or after the 1st day of February, 1921, the rates of premium shall be computed upon the amount spent in wages, and shall be fixed by the Commissioner, having regard to the nature of the risk; provided, nevertheless, as follows:—

(a.) In the case of each policy the minimum premium shall not exceed 10s., except in certain hazardous occupations to be from time to time determined by the Commissioner.

(b.) Subject to the aforesaid minimum, the premium shall not exceed in respect of every £100 or fraction thereof paid in wages the rate shown in the subjoined table; according to the category in which, in the opinion of the Commissioner, the risk should be classified.
