CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
URUTI (No. 1) LOAN, £1,000.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 16 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Counties Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, and any other Acts it enabling, and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Uruti Number One (1) Special Rating Area, as testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers of the said special rating area the capital value of whose properties as appearing on the valuation roll of the said district is collectively greater than the capital values of the ratepayers who did not so consent, the Clifton County Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the metalling of a portion of the Uruti Road and the purposes incidental thereto, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-sixteenths of a penny (9/16d.) in the pound upon the rateable property of the said Uruti Number One (1) Special Rating Area, comprising Section 11, Block II, Sections 9, 18, 19, 21, 25, Block II, Section 15, Block II, Section 3, Block III, Section 10, Block II, Section 4, Block VI, Sections 13 and 14, Block II, Section 26, Block II, Upper Waitara Survey District.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 16 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Counties Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, and any other Acts it enabling, and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Uruti Number Two (2) Special Rating Area, as testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers of the said special rating area the capital value of whose properties as appearing on the valuation roll of the said district is collectively greater than the capital values of the ratepayers who did not so consent, the Clifton County Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty pounds (£250), authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the metalling of a portion of the Uruti Road and the purposes incidental thereto, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable property of the said Uruti Number Two (2) Special Rating Area, comprising Section 1, Block XI, Section 9, Block VI, Section 2, Block XI, Section 2, Block VII, Section 5, Block X, Section 3, Block VII, Section 7, Block VI, Section 1, Block VII, Waitara Survey District.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PARAWERA ROAD BOARD.
RESOLUTION (£2,000 LOAN) MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Parawera Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Parawera Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling the Puahue Road for the first time in the Parawera Road District, the said Parawera Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rating area comprising all that area in the Parawera Road District, West Taupo County, bounded, commencing at the south-western corner of Section No. 2 (14) where the Mangaohoi Stream intersects the Waipa County boundary; thence following the said county boundary in a north-easterly direction to the north-west corner of Section No. 1F; thence in a south-easterly direction along the said Section No. 1F; thence still in an easterly direction, intersecting parts of Sections No. 2 (1), No. 2 (2), No. 2 (3), and No. 2 (4), to the north-east corner of Section No. 2 (5A); thence northerly to the north-west corner of Section No. 2 (6B); thence east to the north-east corner of the said Section No. 2 (6B); thence due south to the north-west corner of Section No. 2 (7B); thence due east to the north-east corner of the said Section 2 (7B); thence south to where the said Section No. 2 (7B) joins Section No. 2 (6B); thence following the eastern side of No. 2 (6B); thence following due south Sections No. 2 (8), No. 4E 4, No. 4E 5, No. 4E 2, and 4E 3 to the Mangaohoi Stream; thence following the Mangaohoi Stream in a westerly direction to the commencing-point.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
WELLINGTON CITY WORKERS’ DWELLINGS LOAN, 1920.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the erection of workers’ dwellings in the City of Wellington, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eightieth of a penny (1/80d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years from the first day of August, 1921, or until the loan is fully paid off.

CHANGE OF NAME.
I, RUTH AILEEN KNIGHT, of Christchurch, Nurse, heretofore called and known by the name of Ruth Aileen Tosswill, hereby give public notice that by deed-poll dated the eleventh day of June, 1921, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court Office at Christchurch on the second day of July, 1921, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the use of my said surname of Tosswill, and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of RUTH AILEEN KNIGHT instead of Ruth Aileen Tosswill, and so as to be at all times thereafter called and known and described by the name of RUTH AILEEN KNIGHT exclusively.
