Notice respecting Proposed Abolition of the Whakaronga Drainage District.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 12th July, 1921.

PURSUANT to the Land Drainage Act, 1908, it is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General praying that the Whakaronga Drainage District described in the Schedule hereto may be abolished. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed abolition of the said river district which they desire to make within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

WHAKARONGA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being the Whakaronga Drainage District as defined in the New Zealand Gazette, 1920, page 737.

Additional Rule and Regulation under the Law Practitioners Act, 1908.

BY virtue of the powers vested in us by law, we, the undersigned Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand,
do hereby make the following rule and regulation, to come into force on the 1st day of August, 1921, that is to say:—

  1. Clause 14 of the rules and regulations made on the 24th day of April, 1907 (published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1908, page 1556), is amended by revoking paragraph (a) thereof and substituting therefor the following paragraph,—
    (a.) No candidate shall be credited with having passed in less than two subjects at a time, except in the case of the examination which includes the last subject in which the candidate shall pass.
