ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
July, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described
in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purpose of stop-
banks, portion of such land being occupied by buildings and
orchards.

particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as
above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister
of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District.

Consenting to the Raising of £20,700, being Part of a Loan of
£42,500 authorized to be raised by the Gisborne Borough
Council on the Instalment System extending over a Period
of Thirty-six Years and a Half.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
July, 1921.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS section thirteen of the Finance Act, 1921,
provides that where any local authority, as defined
by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, has heretofore been
or shall hereafter be authorized to raise a loan, whether
pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise, and whether
such loan has been raised in part or not, such local authority
may, with the consent of the Governor-General in Council,
raise any part of such loan upon terms of making the same,
together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments ex-
tending over such period of years whether in excess of the
period mentioned in the poll taken on the proposal for such
loan or not, and payable at such times as may be fixed by
such local authority, and may permanently appropriate and
pledge for the purpose of securing such instalments any
special rate already made or hereafter to be made, or any part
of such special rate :
And whereas the Gisborne Borough Council has been
authorized to borrow the sum of forty-two thousand five
hundred pounds for the purpose of constructing the Peel
Street bridge, and the formation and metalling of Ormond
Road and Peel and Fitzherbert Streets, and has been unable
to raise the whole amount on the terms specified :
And whereas application has been made by the Borough
Council for the consent of His Excellency the Governor-
General in Council to the raising of twenty thousand seven
hundred pounds, being the balance of the above-mentioned
forty-two thousand five hundred pounds, on the instalment
system extending over a period of thirty-six years and a half :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the Gisborne Borough Council raising
the said sum of twenty thousand seven hundred pounds upon
the terms of making the same, together with interest thereon,
repayable by instalments extending over a period of thirty-
six years and a half, and the said Gisborne Borough Council
is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of twenty thousand
seven hundred pounds on these terms.

Declaring Portion of Mangaturuturu Road, in the Waimarino
County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
July, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and
after the date of this Order in Council, become a county
road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District,
Waimarino County, known as the Mangaturuturu Road, com-
mencing at the boundary between Sections 15 and 16, Block
XIV, Manganui Survey District, and proceeding generally in
a north-easterly and then northerly direction, adjoining or
passing through Section 16, Block XIV, and part Section 2,
Block XI, Manganui Survey District, and terminating at a
point about fifteen chains south-west of the boundary between
Sections 2 and 3, Block XI aforesaid ; being a distance of
1 mile 29 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
52084, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.
