HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force.
QUEEN ALEXANDRA’S 2ND (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant Albert Glanville William Muir, Reserve of Officers, resigns his commission. Dated 13th June, 1921.
3RD (AUCKLAND) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Captain Albert Josiah Glasson, Reserve of Officers, is posted to the Retired List, under the provisions of General Headquarters Instructions No. 22, of 20th February, 1920. Dated 15th June, 1921.
6TH (MANAWATU) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Major William George Ashworth to command the regiment temporarily. Dated 26th May, 1921.

“G” Battery.
Captain Henry Augustus Swarbrick is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 18th June, 1921.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Wairoa, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

WAIROA COUNTY COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby notify that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Ruakitiuri No. 2 Rating District taken on Saturday, the 11th day of June, 1921, on the proposal of the Wairoa County Council to borrow the sum of £5,500 for metalling about ten miles of Ruakituri Valley Road, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 46, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 5.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Board of the Kaponga Town District, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

KAPONGA TOWN BOARD.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913 I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Town District of Kaponga taken on the 25th day of May, 1921, on the proposal of the Kaponga Town Board to borrow the sum of £6,000 for the purpose of the purchase, erection, and installation of electric headworks, plant, poles, and transmission-lines for conveying and selling electricity to farmers, factories, and others in districts either within or adjacent to the town-district boundaries, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 53, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 0.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Whangarei Borough Council held on the 16th day of May, 1921, the following resolution was passed, and was duly confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the above Council held on the 13th day of June, 1921 :—
In exercise of the powers vested in it by section 142 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Whangarei Borough Council resolves as follows,—
That the number of Councillors on the Whangarei Borough Council be increased by three (3), so as to make the Council consist of nine (9) Councillors and Mayor instead of as now six (6) Councillors and Mayor.
