THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Road, Herne Bay, Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the street fronting Lots 10, 12, and 14 of Section 4 of Allotment 24 of Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland”; such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of street, situated in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as Bayfield Road, fronting Lots 10, 12, and 14 of Section 4 of Allotment 24 of Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 51916, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Notifying Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the twenty-ninth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Wellington City.
PART Section 488: Area, 4·21 perches; upset price, £500.
A narrow strip having a frontage of 12 ft. 3 in. to Wellington Terrace, and abutting on a private way gained from a public right-of-way off Lambton Quay.
The land is divided by a brick wall, the front portion being occupied by a residence and the back portion vacant.
Lot 7 of Town Acre 726: Area, 21·3 perches; upset price, £450.
This lot is situated near the southern end of Wallace Street, to which it has a frontage of 44½ ft. The lot is low-lying, especially near the middle and towards the back.
Marshall Village.—Kiwitea County.—Apiti Survey District.
Sections 46 and 48: Area, 2 acres 2 roods 28 perches (Crown land); upset price, £40.
Weighted with £4, valuation of fencing. Watered by access to Kiwitea Stream.
Situated in Marshall Village Settlement on Kiwitea Stream. Access from Ohingaiti Railway-station, eight miles distant—four chains unformed road, forty chains formed clay road, remainder metalled road. Land was sown down in grass many years ago, and grass is very stale, with scrub throughout. Soil of light nature, with clay formation. Practically all ploughable.
Makuri Township.—Pahiatua County.—Makuri Survey District.
Section 43: Area, 1 rood 32 perches; upset price, £10.
Situated in Makuri Township, on the Makuri River bank. Access is from Pahiatua, twenty miles distant by metalled road. Soil is of first-class quality, and is in grass. Land is subject to floods, and is watered by surface water.
Taihape Township.—Rangitikei County.—Ohinewairua Survey District.
Section 94, Block XIV: Area, 1 rood 27 perches; upset price, £100.
Section 95, Block XIV: Area, 2 roods 25 perches; upset price, £100.
Situated in the Borough of Taihape, about one mile from post office by metalled dray-road. Soil is of good quality, 4 in. deep, resting on papa formation.

Declaring certain Districts constituted under the Maori Councils Act, 1900, to be Special Districts under the Health Act, 1920.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Health Act, 1920, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the respective districts in the Schedule hereto, being Maori districts proclaimed under the Maori Councils Act, 1900, shall be special districts for the purposes of section sixty-six of the Health Act, 1920.
