HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, transfers, and retirements of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Army Pay Department and Territorial Force.

N.Z. ARMY PAY DEPARTMENT.

Captain Thomas Henry Jones relinquishes the appointment of Accountant, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers (General List). Dated 30th September, 1920.

Captain (temp.) Gerald Cave Boyes relinquishes the appointment of Officer in Charge Transport Accounts and the rank of Captain (temp.). Dated 1st August, 1920.

5TH MOUNTED RIFLES (OTAGO HUSSARS).

2nd Lieutenant [Lieutenant, Reserve of Officers (temp.)] Arthur Briscoe Moore is transferred to the 11th (North Auckland) Mounted Rifles. Dated 6th April, 1920.

6TH (MANAWATU) MOUNTED RIFLES.

Captain Albert Charles Buist, from the Unattached List (b), to be Captain. Dated 14th December, 1920.

10TH (NELSON) MOUNTED RIFLES.

Reserve of Officers.

Captain Arthur Francis Trask is posted to the Retired List, under the provisions of paragraph 126, General Regulations, 1913, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 30th December, 1920.

11TH (NORTH AUCKLAND) MOUNTED RIFLES.

Major William Ernest Randolph Mackesy is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 22nd December, 1920.

Lieutenant James Sydney Paton resigns his commission. Dated 22nd December, 1920.

2nd Lieutenant [Lieutenant, Reserve of Officers (temp.)] Arthur Briscoe Moore, from the 5th Mounted Rifles (Otago Hussars), to be Lieutenant, with seniority next below Lieutenant John William Hoskin. Dated 6th April, 1920.

N.Z. FIELD ARTILLERY.

Lieutenant (temp.) Arthur Watson Bird, M.M., is transferred to the N.Z. Garrison Artillery, Wellington G.A. Division. Dated 16th December, 1920.

Lieutenant (temp.) [Lieutenant, Reserve of Officers (temp.)] Ernest Marsden, M.C., from the 5th (Wellington) Regiment, to be Captain. Dated 20th December, 1920.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) Arthur Watson Bird, M.M., from the N.Z. Field Artillery, “F” Battery, to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.). Dated 16th December, 1920.

The commission granted 2nd Lieutenant Wilfred Barton Rainey is cancelled, under the provisions of section 5 (a) of the Defence Act, 1909. Dated 17th December, 1920.
