Special Order made by the Manukau County Council merging Road Districts.

THE following special order, made by the Manukau
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order merging the Road Districts of East Tamaki, Pakuranga, Paparoa, and Howick Township in the County of Manukau, and dissolving the Road Boards thereof.
IN pursuance of section 30 of the Counties Act, 1920, the
Manukau County Council hereby resolves, by way of special
order, as follows:—
That the road districts of East Tamaki, Pakuranga, Paparoa,
and Howick Township be merged in the County of Manukau,
and the Road Boards of the aforesaid road districts be dissolved, as from the date of the gazetting of this special order.
Dated at Auckland this 14th day of April, 1921.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
made by the Manukau County Council by a resolution passed
at a special meeting of such Council on the 12th day of April,
1921, and confirmed at a meeting of such Council on the 13th
day of May, 1921.

Special Order made by the Waitemata County Council merging Pukeatua and Kaukapakapa Road Districts.

THE following special order, made by the Waitemata
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
WHEREAS the only road districts in the County of Waitemata
are the Pukeatua and Kaukapakapa Road Districts, and
whereas the capital value of all rateable property in the said
road districts is less than two-fifths of the capital value of
all rateable property in the said county, the Waitemata
County Council in pursuance of the provisions of the Counties
Act, 1920, and of all other provisions authorizing it in that
behalf, hereby declares the Road Boards of the said Pukeatua
and Kaukapakapa Road Districts to be dissolved, and they
are hereby dissolved, and such road districts to be merged
and they are hereby merged in the said county.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
special order of the Waitemata County Council passed at a
meeting held on the 15th day of April, 1921, and confirmed
at a subsequent meeting held on the 20th day of May, 1921.
And I hereby certify that the above special order has been
duly made.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Council of the County of Otamataea, is published in
accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Paparoa-
Riding of the County of Otamatea was taken on the 6th day
of May, 1921, on the proposal of the Otamatea County Council
to borrow the sum of £7,300 for the metalling and general
improvement of roads.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 60,
and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was
44.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
Dated this 10th day of May, 1921.

Council of the Borough of Riverton, is published in
accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913.

RIVERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Result of Poll.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Riverton was taken on the 27th day of April,
1921, on the proposal of the Riverton Borough Council to
levy a special rate, not to exceed six farthings in the pound,
on the unimproved value of all rateable property within
the Borough of Riverton, to provide for interest and sinking
fund on old borough loans of £4,500.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 111,
and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was
37.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Result of Poll on Proposal of the Board to raise a Loan of £7,000 for Harbour Improvements, &c.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers
of the Whakatane Harbour District taken on the 1st day of
June, 1921, on the proposal of the Whakatane Harbour
Board to borrow the sum of £7,000 for harbour improvements,
&c., the number of votes recorded for the proposal was
224, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal
was 151; the number of votes recorded as informal was 7.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
Result of Poll on Proposal of the Board to raise a Loan o £3,000 for Engineering and Surveys.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers
of the Whakatane Harbour District taken on the 1st day of
June, 1921, on the proposal of the Whakatane Harbour Board
to borrow the sum of £3,000 for engineering and surveys,
the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 198, and
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 180;
the number of votes recorded as informal was 4.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
