CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

S.T.L. Section 73, Block XIV, Norsewood Survey District: Area, 7 acres 1 rood 30 perches. Thomas Port (former lessee). Reason for forfeiture: Holding abandoned by lessee.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction, for cash or on deferred payments, at this office on Wednesday, 29th June, 1921, at 2 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—MARLBOROUGH COUNTY.
SECTION 46, Block I, Wakamarina Survey District: Area, 19 acres 3 roods. Upset price, £79.
The area consists of low steep spurs of light, clay soil. The bush has all been milled, and the country since swept by fire. Distance from Flat Creek Post-office is two miles. Altitude, 175 ft. to 150 ft.
TERMS OF SALE.
(1.) Cash.—One-fifth of the purchase-money on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown-grant fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter.
(2.) Deferred Payments.—5 per cent. of the purchase-money and license fee of £1 1s. on the fall of the hammer, balance by equal annual instalments extending over nineteen years, with interest payable half-yearly at the rate of 5 per cent. per annum on the unpaid purchase-money, but with the right to pay off at any time the whole or any part of the outstanding amount.
In either case, if the purchaser fails to make any of the prescribed payments by due date, whether of purchase-money or interest, the amount (if any) already paid shall be forfeited and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.
Title will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1908. The land is described for the general information of intending bidders, who are recommended, nevertheless, to make a personal inspection, as the Department is not responsible for the absolute accuracy of any description.
