Revoking a Proclamation taking Additional Land at Kaiata
for the Purposes of the Nelson-Greymouth Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909,
it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or
making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public
Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any
compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found
that the land or any part thereof is not required for the
purpose for which it was taken the Governor-General may, by
a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Pro-
clamation, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary :

And whereas it is found that the land at Greymouth taken
for the purposes of the Nelson-Greymouth Railway by a
Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated
the twentieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”),
and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 55, of the fourth
day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, page
1803, is not required for the purpose for which it was taken :

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers
enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke the said Pro-
clamation.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand ; and issue-
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 16th day of May, 1921.

Land withdrawn from Provisional State Forest Reservation.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the fifth day of
July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and
gazetted on the eighth day of that month, certain land in
the Waiawa Survey District, in the Auckland Land District,
was, inter alia, set apart as and for a provisional State forest
in terms of section thirty-four of the War Legislation and
Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918 :

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto
(being part of the land so set apart) is required for settle-
ment, and it is expedient that the said Proclamation should
be revoked in so far as it relates to the land described in
the said Schedule :

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by
clauses (b) and (c) of subsection three of section thirty-four
of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act,
1918, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in
this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby
revoke the Proclamation dated the fifth day of July, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty, hereinbefore referred to,
in so far as it relates to the land described in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ROTORUA FOREST CONSERVATION REGION.

Description of Land withdrawn from Provisional State Forests.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, situate in
Block XIV, Waiawa Survey District, Opotiki County, con-
taining by admeasurement 332 acres, more or less, being
portion of Provisional State Forest Reserve set apart by
Order in Council dated 5th day of July, 1920, and published
in the New Zealand Gazette No. 65, of the 8th day of that
month, page 2117. Bounded towards the east and south
generally by Section 4, Block XIV, Waiawa Survey District
(forest reserve); and towards the west generally by Section 2,
Block XIV aforesaid. As the same is delineated on the
plan marked No. 97, deposited in the Head Office, State
Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand ; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 16th day of May, 1921.

Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Otago Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settle-
ment Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Go-
vernor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
revoke the Proclamation made on the nineteenth day of
August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and pub-
lished in the Gazette of the twenty-sixth day of August then
