Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Morrinsville and the County of Piako.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 14th May, 1921.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Borough of Morrinsville are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the said borough being a new borough constituted by Proclamation dated the 9th day of March, 1921, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, as amended by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, and published in Gazette No. 25, of the 10th day of March, 1921.

And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the County of Piako affected by the constitution of the Borough of Morrinsville, made by the said Proclamation dated the 9th day of March, 1921, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF MORRINSVILLE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Subdivision 4 of Motumaho No. 2 Block; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Subdivision 4 about 37 chains to the northernmost corner of part of Subdivision 19 of the said Motumaho No. 2 Block, and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the said part of Subdivision 19 to the westernmost corner of Allotment 39 on plan No. 7150, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence along the north-western boundary of that allotment, across Davis Street, along the north-western boundaries of Allotments 40 and 41, across Bank Street, along the north-western boundaries of Allotments 42 and 43, across George Street, and along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Allotment 44 on plan No. 7150 aforesaid; along the north-western boundaries of Allotments 45 and 47 on plan No. 7445, deposited as aforesaid, and along the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment to and across Coronation Street, and along its south-eastern side to Allotment 48; along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that allotment and the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 46 on plan No. 7445 aforesaid, and along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 7 and 6 on plan No. 7150 aforesaid to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence along the north-eastern boundary of part of Subdivision 19 of Motumaho No. 2 Block to the westernmost corner of Subdivision 23; thence along the north-western boundaries of Subdivisions 23 and 22 to the northernmost corner of Subdivision 22, along the south-western boundary of Subdivision 21, and along the north-western side of the road forming the south-eastern boundary of that subdivision to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Subdivision 24, Motumaho No. 2 Block, across the road, and along the south-western boundary of the said Subdivision 24, across the railway reserve, and along the south-eastern side of that reserve to the Piako River; thence south-westerly along the left bank of that river and the Topehahae and Waitakaruru Streams to the road forming the south-western boundary of Subdivision 28, Motumaho No. 2 Block, along the north-eastern side of that road, across the railway, and along the continuation of the said road and the road forming the south-western boundary of Subdivision 10 to Subdivision 7 of the said Motumaho No. 2 Block; along the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned subdivision to its easternmost corner, and along the north-eastern boundary of that subdivision to the southernmost corner of Subdivision 4, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF PIAKO.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Hoe-o-Tainui South No. 4 in Block XII, Hapuakohe Survey District, and proceeding thence north-easterly along the northern boundary of the said block, the southern boundary of Section 2, Block IX, Waitoa Survey District, across a road, the southern boundaries of Sections 3, 7, and Willis's Grant to the Piako River; thence down the middle of that river to the Tahuna-Paeroa Road; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern side of that road to the Waihou River, and up the middle of that river to the northern boundary of the Borough of Te Aroha; thence along the northern and eastern boundaries of that borough as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page 1868, to a point due west of Te Aroha Trig. Station; thence along a right line due east to that trig. station and along a right line towards Ngakuriawhare Trig. Station to the summit of the range, being the western boundary of the Tauranga Confiscated District; thence south-easterly along the summit of the said range to the northernmost corner of Okauia No. 1A Block; thence along the north-western boundary of that block to the Wairere River at the north-western corner of said block, down the middle of said Wairere River and the middle of the Waihou River to the north-western boundary of Section 27A, Block X, Wairere Survey District; thence south-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Sections 27A and 27 and Lot 24A, being part of Turanga-o-Moana Block; thence along the eastern and northern boundaries of Whangurau Block and the north-western boundary of Matamata South Block to the Waitoa River, down the middle of that river and up the middle of the Mangapapa River to Te Tapui Block; thence along the southern boundaries of Te Pae-otu-Rawaru and Tawawhaka-puoro Blocks and the north-eastern boundaries of Maungakawa and Maunganui Blocks to the confiscation boundary; thence north-westerly along said boundary, passing through Pukemoremore Trig. Station, to the point of commencement: excluding the Boroughs of Te Aroha and Morrinsville.

Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or by any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the address given in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Appointing Saturday as the Statutory Closing-day in the Separate District of the Borough of Waitara.

WHEREAS a poll to determine the statutory closing-day in the separate district of the Borough of Waitara was duly taken under the authority of section 17 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, on the 27th day of April, 1921:

And whereas the Town Clerk of the separate district of the Borough of Waitara has notified me that the majority of the votes given at such poll were in favour of the appointment of Saturday as the statutory closing-day in the separate district of the Borough of Waitara:

Now, therefore, I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 17 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, as amended by section 5 of the Shops and Offices Amendment Act, 1920, do hereby appoint Saturday as the statutory closing-day in the separate district of the Borough of Waitara as from the 23rd day of May, 1921.

Dated at Wellington this 17th day of May, 1921.
