HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, retirements, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force.

Lieutenant Stanley Austin Carr is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 5th May, 1921.

6TH (MANAWATU) MOUNTED RIFLES.

Lieutenant Richard Strachan De Renzy Harman, from the Unattached List (General List) to be Lieutenant. Dated 31st October, 1919.

5TH (WELLINGTON) REGIMENT.
Captain Thomas Casserley, from the 9th (Hawke’s Bay) Regiment, to be Captain. Dated 4th May, 1921.

7TH (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) REGIMENT.
Lieutenant William Peachey Aldridge to be Captain. Dated 20th October, 1920.
Major Lancelot Craig (Reserve of Officers) is posted to the Retired List, under the provisions of paragraph 126, General Regulations, 1913, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 3rd May, 1921.

9TH (HAWKE’S BAY) REGIMENT.
Captain Thomas Casserley is transferred to the 5th (Wellington) Regiment. Dated 4th May, 1921.
2nd Lieutenant (on probation) John Henry Thomas Munro resigns his appointment. Dated 4th May, 1921.

13TH (NORTH CANTERBURY AND WESTLAND) REGIMENT.
Major William Jeffries is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 5th May, 1921.

16TH (WAIKATO) REGIMENT.
The commission granted 2nd Lieutenant Philip John Williams is cancelled, under the provisions of Section 5A of the Defence Act, 1909. Dated 5th May, 1921.

Wellington, 17th May, 1921.

IN pursuance of section 28 of the Rating Amendment Act, 1910, and the regulations under the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, the ratepayers within the district constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that 10 per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ended 31st March, 1921, unpaid on the 29th June, 1921. Rates may be paid at any money-order office or to the “Collector of Rates,” Box 1659, Auckland.
