Land set apart as Provisional State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section thirty-four of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as and for a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND FOREST CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area of land in the Westland Land District, being the Township of Waitaha, Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1706, situate in Block XII, Waitaha Survey District, containing an area of 235 acres, be the same a little more or less, bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 2409, Block XII, Waitaha Survey District; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of said Section 2409, across the main south road, along the eastern boundaries of Cemetery Reserve 951 and Scenic Reserve 1370, and that line produced to the Kakapotahi River; thence in an easterly direction along the southern bank of the said river to a point where the production of the south-western boundary of Section 2004, Block XII aforesaid, would meet the southern bank of the said river; thence in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundary of said Section 2004 to its most southerly corner; thence in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 935Β·6 links; thence in a westerly direction across the Rangitoto Road, and along the northern boundaries of Sections 2407 and 934 to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan numbered 41, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of May, 1921.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the sixteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, duly laid off as road-lines, in pursuance of sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913:

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that the said road-lines should be proclaimed as public roads, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act:

And whereas one month's notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-lines as public roads has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914:

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-lines should be proclaimed as public roads:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, do hereby proclaim as public roads the road-lines described in the Schedule hereto.
