Lond. 1895, now residing in Norsewood, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 16th April next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Wellington.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.

I, ETHEL MARY NAZER, heretofore called and known by the name of Ethel Mary Nazer, but whose name is Ethel Mary Davis, a Spinster, residing in the City of Auckland in New Zealand, hereby give public notice that on the 21st day of March, 1921, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the use of my surname of Davis, and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of Ethel Mary Nazer instead of my said name of Ethel Mary Davis.

And I give further notice that by deed dated the 21st day of March, 1921, duly executed and attested and now enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Auckland, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Davis,” and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of Ethel Mary Nazer, and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of ETHEL MARY NAZER exclusively.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Council of the Borough of Hawera hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest (or the interest and sinking fund) and also the other charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of—

Surface-water outlet to relieve flooding at corner of Princes and Collins Streets: £600

Sewers, Caledonia Street extension, and Turuturu Road: £800

Stereophagus pumps: £2,300

Water-mains, Caledonia Street extension, Albion Street extension, Surrey Street (from Disraeli Street to Camberwell Road), Turuturu Road, Little Regent Street (part), Waihi Road (from Glover to Turuturu Road): £3,100

Surface tarring streets for first time—Camberwell Road, Furlong Street, Grey Street, Erin Street, Cambria Street, Surrey Street, Manse Street, High Street (from Vogel Street to Waihi Road), Princes Street (from Grey Street to Collins Street, flanks), Union Street (from Nelson Street to Glober Road, flanks), Albion Street (from High Street to South Road), and Caledonia Street extension: £1,700

Metalling and tarring streets—High Street (from Wilson Street to Park, flanks), Caledonia Street, Morrissey Street, Milmoe Street, Rowe Street, Argyle Street, Little Regent Street (from Regent Street to bend), Cameron Street, Gladstone Street (from High Street to South Road), Turuturu Road, Albion Street (from High Street to Grey Street), George Street, Vogel Street, Napier Street, Egmont Street, Waihi Road (from Glover Road to South Road), part cost of High Street (from railway to borough boundary): £11,500

the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 89/100ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Hawera, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hawera; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of the month of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Council of the Borough of Hawera hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest (or the interest and sinking fund) and also the other charges on a loan of £15,500, authorized to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of—

Forming, metalling, and tarring to width of 18 ft. of metal new streets running diagonally through subdivision: £2,600

Concrete kerbs and channels and tar-macadam footpaths on both sides of new diagonal streets, and on one side of South Road, Waihi Road, High Street, and Vogel Street: £4,000

Four-inch water-pipes and valves along new diagonal streets, and along South Road and Waihi Road: £3,200

Six-inch sewers along diagonal streets, and along South Road, Waihi Road, and High Street, with manholes: £3,100

New sewage-pump station at corner of High Street and Waihi Road, six-inch pumping main therefrom to end of Vogel Street sewer, additional pump and motor at present sewage-pumps at end of Vogel Street, and new pump main therefrom to Morrissey Street: £2,000

Beautifying grounds and lighting streets: £600

the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 69/100ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Hawera, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hawera; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of the month of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hobson County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,000, being part of £2,600 authorized to be raised by the Hobson County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of formation of roads and footpaths at Newport, formation and part metalling of Brown’s Road, formation and metalling of main road and West Coast Road, the said Hobson County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourpence and five-eighths of a penny (4½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kopuru Roads Special Rating District, comprising the following area, —

Starting from the Wairoa River at the north-eastern corner of part Section 5 (W. Wordsworth), Kopuru Parish; thence by the north-western boundary of said part Section 5 to the road; thence by the road to the north-eastern corner of Section 25 (T. Webb), Kopuru Parish; thence by the north-western boundary of Sections 25, 36, 99, Kopuru Parish; thence by part southern boundary of said Section 99; thence by western boundary of Section W. 35, Kopuru Parish; thence by southern boundary of Sections W. 35, E. 35, 33, 32, 31, 30, Kopuru Parish; thence by part eastern boundary of said Section 30; thence by south-eastern boundary of Section part 29 (D. P. Dunn); thence by western boundary of Allots. 3 and 2 of E.R. 50, Kopuru Parish, and that boundary-line continued to the Makaka Stream; thence by that stream to the north-western corner of part Allot. 18, Tatarariki Parish (Hammond, A.
