killed within the Hawke’s Bay Acclimatization District, described in the First Schedule hereto (except in the areas mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto), from the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, both days inclusive; and do hereby restrict the number of cock pheasants and Californian quail that may be killed by any one person in any one day to twenty-five. And I do further notify that licenses to kill such imported game within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the Chief Postmaster at Napier, and the Postmasters at Waipawa, Woodville, Dannevirke, Hastings, Waipukurau, Norsewood, Ormondville, Porangahau, Wimbedon, Ashley-Clinton, Clive, Greenmeadows, Havelock North, Kumeroa, Makotuku, Otane, Puketapu, Taradale, Tikikino, and Takapau, are hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses to kill imported game.
And I do further notify that the following native game—viz., grey duck, teal, and black swan—may be killed within the above-mentioned district (except in the areas mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto) from the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, both days inclusive; and I do hereby restrict the number of such native game that may be killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twenty-five head in all.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
HAWKE’S BAY ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington Land Districts, commencing at a point in the centre of the Rangitikei River with the intersection of a right line running between Trig. Stations 27 and 26, Tawaki-Tohunga, and situated in Blocks XV and XII, Mangamaire Survey District, respectively; thence towards the north generally by a right line to Trig. Station 26, Tawaki-Tohunga; thence by a right line to Trig. Station 65A; thence by a right line in a north-easterly direction through Trig. Station 68A to the middle of the Mohaka River; thence by the middle of the Mohaka and Taharua Rivers to a point in line with the north-western corner of Wharetoto No. 8 Subdivision B Block; thence by a right line to the intersection of the Taupo-Napier Road with the western boundary of Wharetoto No. 9 Block; thence by a right line running in the direction of the most northern shore of Lake Waikaremoana to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Heruwi No. 4 Block; thence by that boundary to Maungataniwha Trig. Station in Tuatawhata Survey District; thence by the leading spur and the western watershed of Te Hoe River to a point on the Hautapu River due east of Pohokura Trig. Station; thence by a right line to Pohokura Trig. Station aforesaid; thence by the eastern watershed of the Mokomokonui Stream to the Tataraoikino Mountain; thence by the leading spur to the confluence of the Mohaka and Waipunga Rivers; thence by the leading spur to Trig. Station 69A, Taraponui; thence by the leading spur and the southern watershed of the Waikare River to the sea at Moeangiangi; thence towards the east generally by high-water mark of the sea to the middle of the Waimata River, being the north-eastern corner of Waimata Survey District in Akitio County; thence by the northern boundaries of Waimata and Mount Cerebus Survey Districts and the northern boundary of Wellington Land District to the middle of the Manawatu River; thence by the middle of the Manawatu River to a point in line with the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence to and by the summit of that range to a right line running between Aorangi Trig. Station and the confluence of the northern branch of the Waipawa River with the Makaroro River; thence by that line to Aorangi Trig. Station; thence by a right line running in the direction of trig. numbered 32 to the middle of the Rangitikei River, and by the middle of that river to the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
AREAS WHEREIN IMPORTED AND NATIVE GAME SHALL NOT BE KILLED.
- THE head of the Inner Harbour, near Petane.
- Part of the Tukituki River extending from Waimarama Bridge to a line running from the north of the Mangangara Stream to the road at the south-western corner of Sections 9 and 15, Te Mata Survey District.
- Another part of the Tukituki River (see Gazette No. 78, of the 20th July, 1916, page 2414).
- Tutira Lake.
- All lands notified or set apart as sanctuaries or reserves for the preservation of imported or native game.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game—viz., cock pheasants and Australian quail—may be killed within the Hobson Acclimatization District, comprising all that area in the Auckland Land District commencing on the sea-coast at the north-western corner of Block V, Waipoua Survey District, and bounded by the southern boundaries of Blocks I, II, III, and IV, Waipoua Survey District, to a public road, across that road, and by the western, southern, and south-eastern boundaries of Section 10, Block I, Tutamoe Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section, across a public road, and by the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 5, 6, and 7, Block V, Tutamoe Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of Section 5, Block I, Tutamoe Survey District; thence by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 5, 4, 3, and 14 of the last-mentioned block, and part of the southern boundary of Section 5, Block II, Tutamoe Survey District, to the intersection of a line running between the north-western corner of Section 3, Block XIII, Punakitere Survey District, and Tutamoe Trig. Station; thence by the last-mentioned line to Tutamoe Trig. Station; thence generally by the northern and north-eastern boundary of Hobson County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1911, page 3065, to the Otamatea County; thence by the northern boundary of Otamatea County as described in New Zealand Statutes, 1886, page 315, to the main road to Waipoua; thence by the western side of that road through Maungaturoto to the Great North Road, and by the western side of that road to the eastern boundary of Otamatea County; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of Otamatea County, the eastern and southern boundaries of Hobson County, to the sea; thence by the sea to the north-western corner of Block V, Waipoua Survey District, the place of commencement (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto), from the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, both days inclusive; and I do hereby restrict the number of cock pheasants that may be killed by any one person in any one day to twelve. And I do further notify that licenses to kill such imported game within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and that the Postmasters at Maungaturoto, Paparoa, Pahi, Matakoe, Dargaville, Te Kopuru, Aratapu, Tangiteroria, Tangowahine, Kaihu, Mititai, Raupo, Ruawai, Batley, Hoanga, Mangawhare, Mareretu, Onetoa, Naumai, Otamatea, Rehia, Tutamoe, Wairere, Whakapirau, and Tokatoka are hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses to kill imported game.
And I do further notify that the following native game—viz., grey duck, teal, pukeko, and black swan—may be killed within the above-mentioned district (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, both days inclusive; and I do hereby restrict the number of native game that may be killed by any one person in any one day to twenty-five head in all.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Kai Iwi and Kaihu Survey Districts, Hobson County, being the lakes known as Lake Waikere, Lake Taharoa, and Lake Kai Iwi, and the area surrounding the said lakes included within a line running parallel to and forty chains distant from the margins of the said lakes: also the Lighthouse Reserve at Pouto Point (North Kaipara Head), containing 1,026 acres, more or less: also all that area in the Auckland Land District, formerly known as Pouto No. 2D, situated at the north head of Kaipara Harbour, in North Head and Okaka Survey Districts, and containing by admeasurement 3,333 acres, more or less, bounded towards the north by Subdivision 10A of Pouto No. 2E Block from the sea to the north-western boundary of the Crown land on which the lighthouse and signal-station are situated; thence towards the east by the above-mentioned Crown land to Kaipara Harbour; thence towards the south by Kaipara Harbour, and towards the west by the sea to the place of commencement: also all that land in the Auckland Land District, being Subdivision No. 10A of Pouto No. 2E Block, situated in North Head and Okaka Survey Districts, to the north of the entrance to Kaipara Harbour, and containing by admeasure-
