and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.

WAITOHI PEAKS SETTLEMENT.
APPROXIMATE area of the pieces of roads to be closed: 6 acres 0 roods 21 perches.
Passing through Sections 31478 and 31479, Block IX, Noble Survey District.
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 21/224, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 21st day of December, 1920.

Notice as to Change of Purpose of a Reserve.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS, by notice issued pursuant to section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, dated the twenty-eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, the purpose for which the reserve described in the Schedule hereto was set apart was changed from police purposes to a site for a public hospital:
And whereas the said notice was laid before Parliament pursuant to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and no resolution has been passed by either House of Parliament that such House does not assent to such change of purpose:
And whereas it is provided by the said section seven that, if no such resolution is passed by either House, then, from and after the termination of the then session of Parliament, such change of purpose, in accordance with the terms of the notice, shall be valid and effectual for all purposes whatsoever:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that no such resolution as aforesaid has been passed by either House of Parliament, and that the change of purpose as set forth in the notice aforesaid has taken effect accordingly as from the eleventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty (being the date of the termination of the session during which the notice aforesaid was laid before Parliament).
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block XI, Opunake Town. Bounded towards the north by Park Place, 252 links; towards the east by Sections 5 and 6, Block XI aforesaid, 400 links; towards the south by Carrington Street, 252 links; and towards the west by McLean Terrace, 400 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/8/12, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, and being part of Section 18 of the Takaka Original District, in Block X, Waitapu Survey District. Commencing at a point on the eastern side of Commercial Road and distant 416 links from its intersection with the north-western boundary of the said Section 18, and having a frontage to the said road of 100 links by a depth of 250 links at right angles thereto: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/2625, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Authorizing the Mount Herbert County Council to sell Grass on Roads in the Mount Herbert County.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by section one hundred and twenty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Mount Herbert County Council to sell or contract to sell and remove grass on county roads in the Mount Herbert County.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of December, 1920.
