frontage of 103 links”; subject to the condition that no
building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on
the north-western side of the portion of Normanby Street
described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-
three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Normanby Street, situated in the Wel-
lington Land District, City of Wellington, abutting on Lots 55
and 58, D.P. 24 (certificate of title, Vol. 8, folio 93). As the
said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 50401, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The Western Side of Portion of Wood Street and the Eastern
Side of Portion of Arthur Street, in the City of Auckland,
exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public
Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-
line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of
December, 1920.

Present :

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amend-
ment Act, 1911, and of all other powers in anywise enabling
him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby approve of the following resolutions passed by
the Auckland City Council on the fifth day of August, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty, viz.,—

“The Auckland City Council, having control of Wood
Street in the City of Auckland, by resolution declares
that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen
of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the
portion of the said street fronting Lots 31 and 32 of a
subdivision of portion of Allotment 20 of Section 8,
Suburbs of Auckland ;

“The Auckland City Council, having control of Arthur
Street in the City of Auckland, by resolution declares
that the provisions of section one hundred and seven-
teen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to
the portion of the said street fronting Lots 23 and 24
of a subdivision of part of Allotment 20, Section 8,
Suburbs of Auckland ” ;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the western side of the portion
of Wood Street and the eastern side of the portion of Arthur
Street described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of
twenty-five feet from the centre-line of the said portions of
streets.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Wood Street, situated in the North
Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, abutting on Lots
31 and 32 of a subdivision of portion of Allotment 20 of Sec-
tion 8, Suburbs of Auckland.

Also all that portion of Arthur Street, situated in the said
land district and city, abutting on Lots 23 and 24 of a sub-
division of portion of Allotment 20 of Section 8, Suburbs of
Auckland.

As the said portions of streets are more particularly de-
lineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49501, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Portions of Townley’s Road, in the Taieri County, exempted
from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act,
1908.

IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amend-
ment Act, 1911, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by
the Taieri County Council on the twenty-fourth day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty—viz.,
“The Taieri County Council, having control of the following
portions of road—namely, that part of the Kaikorai Valley
Road through Section 45, Block VI, Town District; and
Sections 33, 32, 31, 30, and 29, Block V, Lower Kaikorai Dis-
trict; that part of the Kaikorai Valley Road (so far as the
south-east side thereof is concerned) through Sections 28, 27,
and 26, Block V, Lower Kaikorai District; that part of Town-
ley’s Road through parts of Sections 31 and 32, Block V,
Lower Kaikorai District, from the intersection of Kaikorai
Valley Road and Townley’s Road, a distance of 1304 links ;
that part of Townley’s Road (so far as the north-eastern side
thereof is concerned) through parts of Sections 31 and 32,
Block V, Lower Kaikorai District, from a point 1304 links
distant from the intersection of the Kaikorai Valley Road and
Townley’s Road to the north-west boundary of said Sections
31 and 32—by resolution declares that the provisions of
section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act,
1908, shall not apply to the said portions of road ”; in so far
as such resolution refers to the portions of Townley’s Road,
such portions of road being more particularly described in
the Schedule hereto.

ALL that portion of Townley’s Road, situated in the Otago
Land District, Taieri County, commencing at its junction
with the Kaikorai Valley Road, and proceeding thence
generally in a north-westerly direction, adjoining or passing
through part Sections 31 and 32, Block V, Lower Kaikorai
District, and terminating at a point 1304 links from its junc-
tion with the said Kaikorai Valley Road.

Also all that portion of Townley’s Road, situated in the
said land district and county, commencing at a point 1304 links
north-west of its junction with the Kaikorai Valley Road, and
proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction,
adjoining or passing through part Sections 31 and 32 aforesaid,
and terminating at the north-western boundary of the said
Sections 31 and 32.

As the said portions of road are more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 49959, deposited in the office of
the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wel-
lington Land District, and thereon coloured red and yellow
respectively.

Licensing the Parker-Lamb Timber Company (Limited) to
use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land below
Low-water Mark of the Waikawau River, Hauraki Gulf, as a
Site for Timber-booms.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day
of December, 1920.

Present :

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, there being no Harbour Board empowered
to grant the license hereinafter mentioned, the
Parker-Lamb Timber Company (Limited), of Auckland
(hereinafter called “the company”), has applied to the
Governor-General in Council for a license under the Harbours
Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), to occupy a
part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark of the
Waikawau River, Hauraki Gulf, in order to construct and
maintain thereon timber-booms; and, in accordance with
the one-hundred-and-fiftieth section of the said Act, has
deposited plans in the office of the Marine Department at
Wellington (marked M.D. 5241), showing the place where it is
intended to construct such timber-booms, the area of fore-
shore and land below low-water mark intended to be occupied
for such purpose, and the manner in which it is proposed to
carry out the work :

And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor-
General in Council that the proposed work will not be or
tend to the injury of navigation, and the said plans have,
prior to the making of this Order in Council, been approved
by the Governor-General in Council :

And whereas it is expedient that a license under the said
Act, for the purpose aforesaid, should be granted and issued
to the company on the terms and conditions hereinafter
expressed :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and
of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that
behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
