DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, PETER THOMSON and HENRY ALBERT DAVIDSON, in the business of Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Tinsmiths carried on by us at 243 Princes Street, Dunedin, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the twenty-eighth day of February, 1921; and the business will henceforth be carried on by the said HENRY ALBERT DAVIDSON, who will pay and discharge all debts and liabilities and receive all money payable to the said late firm.

I WILLIAM RICHARD JOHN SMYTHE, of Christchurch, in New Zealand, Insurance Clerk, heretofore called and known by the name of "Wilhelm Richard Hans Schmidt," hereby give public notice that on the second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my name of "Wilhelm Richard Hans Schmidt," and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of "William Richard John Smythe" instead of the name of "Wilhelm Richard Hans Schmidt." And I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Christchurch, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said name of "Wilhelm Richard Hans Schmidt," and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of "William Richard John Smythe" instead of "Wilhelm Richard Hans Schmidt," and so to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of WILLIAM RICHARD JOHN SMYTHE exclusively.

MARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and the Acts (if any) amending the same respectively, the Marton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000), authorized to be raised by the said Marton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extensions to the borough waterworks scheme, the said Marton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property within the Borough of Marton; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of December and June in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and amendments thereto, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling, the Pohangina County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £700 (the cost of raising the loan is to be paid out of the money so raised), authorized to be raised by the Pohangina County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and amendments thereto, and the Housing Act, 1919, for erecting a worker's dwelling for the use of the Coal Creek Riding roadman, the Pohangina County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/20th of a penny in the pound on the capital rateable value of all the rateable property in the Coal Creek Riding, with the exception of Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11a, 12a, Block II, Pohangina Survey District, and Section 5, Block VII, and Section 34, Block VI, Pohangina Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE undersigned, who have lately been carrying on business as Ironfounders in Partnership with one Archibald Bennie, of Auckland, Ironmoulder, at Short Street, Newmarket, Auckland, under the name of "The Crescent Iron Foundry," hereby give notice that the said ARCHIBALD BENNIE has retired from the Partnership. The business will be carried on as hitherto under the said name of "The Crescent Iron Foundry" by the undersigned.

GREY COUNTY COUNCIL.
In the matter of the taking under the Public Works Act, 1908, by the Grey County Council of certain lands for the purposes of a road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Grey County Council, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block XII, Waimea Survey District; and for the purpose of such work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Grey County Council, Gresson Street, Greymouth, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Grey County Council at its said office at Greymouth.
