ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day
of February, 1921.
Present:
The Right Honourable W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has
been permanently reserved for a site for a roadman's
cottage; And whereas it is expedient to vest the said reserve
in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Pahiatua
County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Do-
mains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that from and after
the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the
Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Coun-
cillors, and Inhabitants of the Pahiatua County Council, in
trust, for a site for a roadman's cottage.

Declaring North and South Wakapapa Islands to be a Sanctuary
for Imported and Native Game.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount
Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby notify and declare that the area described in the
Schedule hereto shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the
Animals Protection Act, and that no imported or native game
shall be taken or killed within the said area.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, being Sec-
tions 3, 4, and 5, Block X, Makotuku Survey District, Sec-
tions 16, 17, 18, and 21, Block VI, Makotuku Survey Dis-
trict, and Mairekura Nos. L, K, and G Blocks, the property
of Mr. R. L. Gibson, Hukaroa Road, Raetihi.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 26th day of February, 1921.

Regulations for Deer-shooting, North Canterbury Acclimati-
tion District (North of Hurunui River).

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”),
I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the follow-
ing regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the
North Canterbury Acclimatization District, and the conditions
affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee
payable therefor.
REGULATIONS.
- Red deer, of either sex and of any age, may be taken or
killed within that part of the North Canterbury Acclimatiza-
tion District north of the Hurunui River from the 1st day of
April, 1921, to the 31st day of December, 1921 (both days
inclusive). - Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the
Chief Postmaster at Christchurch, upon the recommendation
of the secretary of the North Canterbury Acclimatization
Society, on payment of a license fee of £1 1s., in the form
prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act
and these regulations. - A return shall be furnished to the Minister of Internal
Affairs by the said secretary within one calendar month after
the expiry of the aforesaid period, and such return shall state
the number and sexes of all red deer so taken or killed. - Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing
any person to sell any deer or any portion thereof. - Any person who commits a breach of any of the pro-
visions of these regulations shall be liable to a penalty not
exceeding £20.

for Imported and Native Game.
