Consenting to the Raising of Loans of £72,000 and £60,000
by the New Plymouth Borough Council for the Purpose of
providing Additions and Extensions to the Electric Lighting
and Power Works.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of
February, 1921.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made, under section
twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919,
for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council
to enable the New Plymouth Borough Council to borrow the
sums of seventy-two thousand and sixty thousand pounds
for the purpose of providing additions and extensions to the
electric lighting and power works, and it is expedient that
such consent should issue :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the raising of the sums of seventy-
two thousand and sixty thousand pounds for the purpose of
providing additions and extensions to the electric lighting
and power works by the New Plymouth Borough Council,
at a rate of interest not exceeding five and one-half pounds
per centum per annum ; and it is hereby declared that this
Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf
of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a
consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of
the loans hereby authorized.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint

WILLIAM GEORGE CUMMINGS,
JAMES HUGH GOSSET,
JOHN HENRY ORR,
DAVID RINTOUL,
JAMES JARVIE LINDSAY RINTOUL,
EMILE SCHEPENS, and
GEORGE ALLEN UNDERWOOD,

as from the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, to be the Waimatenui Domain Board,
having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ;
and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twelfth day of
March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, at
eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public Hall,
Waimatenui, as the place where, the first meeting of the
Board shall be held.
