Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

Authorizing the Exchange of a Reserve in Kaiwaka Parish, North Auckland Land District, for other Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Auckland, this 26th day of January, 1921.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the First Schedule was heretofore duly set apart as a reserve for a cemetery: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-General deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twelve of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, being cemetery-site Section 127 situate in the Kaiwaka Parish, and containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Section 32c, 720·2 links ; towards the east by a public road, 774·2 links ; towards the south by Section 32d, 741·1 links ; and towards the west by a public road, 613·4 links, to the point of commencement : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less, and be all sections, wherever mentioned, part of Kaiwaka Parish aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered L. and S. 2/172, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, being Section 173 situate in the Kaiwaka Parish, and containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 328·3 links ; towards the east by Section N.E. 59, 430·7 links, and Section 33, 400·6 links ;

and towards the south and west by Section 33 aforesaid, 236·3, 400·6, and 66 links ; again towards the west by a public road, 328·1 links ; and towards the north by a public road, 378·3 links, to the point of commencement : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less, and be all sections, wherever mentioned, part of Kaiwaka Parish aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered L. and S. 2/172A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Declaring Portion of Road in Block VII, Tangihua Survey District, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of February, 1921.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

Declaring Portion of Heay's Access Road, in the Hawke's Bay County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of February, 1921.

Present :

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Hawke's Bay County, known as Heay's Access Road, commencing at its junction with the Matahoura Road, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly and north-westerly direction, adjoining or passing through Section 1, Block IV, Maungaharuru Survey District, and for a distance of about sixty-six chains through Heru-a-tureia Block, Block IV, Maungaharuru Survey District, and terminating at its junction with a small stream in the aforesaid Heru-a-tureia Block, Block IV, Maungaharuru Survey District; being a total distance of 3 miles 6 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 56633, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red and marked A-B.
