Altering Boundaries of Waitotara and Patea Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by subsection two of section three of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913, that the boundaries of any one or more counties may be altered in accordance with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the Council of each of such counties in which the principal Act is in force:
And whereas a resolution was passed by the Waitotara County Council on the twelfth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and sealed with the seal of the Council of the said county on the twelfth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty:
And whereas a similar resolution was passed by the Patea County Council on the thirteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and sealed with the seal of the said county on the thirteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, praying for the alteration of the boundaries of such counties in the manner described in the said resolutions and in the First Schedule hereto:
And whereas it is expedient to make such alteration in accordance with the said resolutions:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by the said Act, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part of the Patea County, shall, as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, be deemed to be added to and form part of the Waitotara County; and, with the like power and authority, do proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Counties of Waitotara and Patea respectively shall, as on and from the aforesaid date, be those set forth under their respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE ADDED TO WAITOTARA COUNTY.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, being Lots 1 and 2, Mangapapa 1B Block, situated in Blocks VII, VIII, XI, XII, and XV, Momahaki Survey District.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF WAITOTARA COUNTY.
All that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts, bounded by a line along the middle of the Wanganui River from its intersection by a right line running from Mount Humphries to the confluence of that river with the Tangarakau River to the sea, along the seashore to the mouth of the Waitotara River, and along the middle of that river to a point opposite the mouth of the Mangaone Stream, to and along that stream and along the southern boundary of Section 16, Block V, Nukumaru Survey District, to Wharekarangi Trig. Station; thence along the eastern boundary of Section 16 aforesaid to and along the Mangaone Stream to the south-eastern corner of Lot 4 on plan No. 659, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence along the south-eastern boundary of that lot to and across the Waitotara Road and along the western boundaries of Lots 14 and 17 on plan No. 918, deposited as aforesaid, to Orangihoangi Trig. Station, and along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Section 11, Block XIV, Momahaki Survey District, and the Mangamingi Stream, to and along the Te Korokio Stream, and along the western and northern boundaries of the Manganui-o-tahu Block to the western boundary of Lot 3 of Mangapapa No. 1B Block; thence along that boundary and the western and northern boundaries of Lot 1, Mangapapa 1B Block, to Watershed Road, and along the middle of that road and the summit of the range over Maungarau Trig. Station to Mount Humphries; and thence along a right line running in the direction of the confluence of the Tangarakau River with the Wanganui River to the middle of the latter river, the place of commencement; excluding the part of the Borough of Wanganui which is in the above-described area and the Town District of Castlecliff and Gonville.
BOUNDARIES OF PATEA COUNTY.
All that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts bounded by a line commencing at the mouth of the Manawapou River, and proceeding thence up the middle of that river, the middle of the Ingahape Stream, and the middle of the Poroporo Stream to its source; thence along a right line to Tarere Trig. Station, and along a right line to a point in the middle of the Patea River in line with the south-western boundary of Rotorangi Block; thence up the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of the said Rotorangi Block; thence to and along that boundary, the south-western and north-western boundaries of Subdivision 3 of Kaharoa No. 3 Block, and the production of the last named across the Whenuakura Valley Road; thence south-easterly along the eastern side of the said Whenuakura Valley Road to Section 2, Block III, Opaku Survey District; thence along the northern boundaries of said Section 2, Sections 1, 2, the crossing of a road, Sections 3 and 10, Block IV, Opaku Survey District, and Section 4, Block I, Kapara Survey District, to Koane Road, and
