GREYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Greymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £14,400, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of a repayment loan of £14,400, 1920, being the balance due on two special loans, the said Greymouth Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and 40105/221783 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Greymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that such special rate be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £430, authorized to be raised by the Waimarino County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for trimming, forming, and metalling the Ohakune-Waiouru Road from the Waitaiki Stream Bridge to the Tokiahuru Stream Bridge, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence farthing (2 1/4d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property of the Ohakune-Waiouru No. 3 Special Rating District, situated within the following boundaries,—

Commencing at a point where the south-eastern boundary of Section Rangiwaea 4F 11A joins the Ohakune-Waiouru Road; thence north-east, north-west, and south-west by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 4F 11A, 4F 11B, 4F 11C, and Run 31 part 4F 1, the north-eastern boundary of Section Run 31 part 4F 1, and south-west by the north-western boundary of Run 31 part 4F 1, and the north and western boundaries of Section 2, Blocks VI and VII, Karioi S.D., across the North Island Main Trunk Railway line to the south side of the Wangaehu Valley Road (locally known as Karioi Station Road); thence generally south by the Wangaehu Valley Road to the south side of the Ohakune-Waiouru Road; thence south-east by the south side of the Ohakune-Waiouru Road and the north-west and south-west boundaries of Section Rangiwaea 4F 11B to the Tokiahuru Stream; thence generally north-east by the said Tokiahuru Stream to the starting-point, comprising all the following sections—Run 31 part Rangiwaea 4F 1, part 4F 1, part 4F 11C, part 4F 11B, 4F 11A, Section 2, Blocks VI and VII, and Sections 14, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 32, 34, and 36, Ninia Township, Block VI, Karioi S.D.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PELORUS ROAD BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORIZING LOAN OF £1,140.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by subsection (b) of section 16 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and subsection (10) of section 41 of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and of all other Acts and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling (an Order in Council in pursuance of section 20 of the Finance Act, 1919, having been obtained authorizing the Board to borrow), the Pelorus Road Board hereby resolves by way of special resolution as follows:—

  1. That the Board proceed to raise a loan of one thousand one hundred and forty pounds (£1,140) for the purpose of paying the Board's share of capital expenditure of the Wairau Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, as certified to by the Secretary to the said Board, as required by subsection (10) of section 41 of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, under date 18th day of September, 1920.

  2. That such loan be called "The Pelorus Road Board Hospital and Charitable Aid Board's Contribution Loan of £1,140, 1920."

  3. That the currency of the said loan shall be for a period of thirty-six and one-half (36 1/2) years, commencing on the 1st day of November, 1920, and maturing on the 1st day of May, 1957.

  4. That the interest on the said loan shall be at the rate of five pounds ten shillings (£5 10s.) per centum per annum, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of May and November in each and every year.

  5. That the form of security for the payment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be two (2) debentures of five hundred and seventy pounds (£570) each, and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

  6. That the Board doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan, and the interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon, the special rate of one-seventeenth (1/17th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Pelorus Road District.

  7. That the principal and interest shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Equitable Life Assurance Society of U.S., after the expiration of one month from the publication of this notice, to issue a certified copy policy, under section 59 of the Life Insurance Act, 1908, in lieu of policy numbered 100054 on the life of Walter Edward Rawson, of Wellington, Judge of Native Land Court, the said policy having been lost.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between GEORGE MOYLE and THOMAS GEORGE SHAW, carrying on business as Carriers at High Street, in the City of Auckland, under the style or firm of "Moyle and Shaw," has been dissolved as from the 29th day of September, 1920. The business will in future be carried on by the said GEORGE MOYLE on his own account, by whom all accounts will be received and paid respectively.
