A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49660, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of November, 1920.

Amending Regulations under the Government Railways Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of October, 1920.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section ninety-four of the Government Railways Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend regulation number sixteen of the regulations made under the Government Railways Superannuation Fund Act, 1902, on the eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and three, by striking out of the said regulation the words “shall be ten shillings,” and substituting the words “shall be twelve shillings and sixpence”; and doth hereby declare that this amendment shall take effect as from the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of October, 1920.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-half pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of October, 1920.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, as the day on which shall be held the first election of representatives of the constituent district in the Westland Electric-power District, being an electric-power district duly constituted by Proclamation dated the twenty-sixth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
