The North-western Side of Portion of Aurora Terrace, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of October, 1920

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council—viz., “The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the portion of Aurora Terrace, abutting on Section 494 and part Section 492, having a frontage to Aurora Terrace of 237·5 links, and being the property known as the C. B. Morison Estate”; such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of street, in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Aurora Terrace, extending from the centre-line of such street to the north-western boundary thereof, and abutting on Section 494 and part Section 492 in the said city. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49941, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Notifying Land in the Otago Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the seventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said land shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

TOWN LAND.

Town of Blueskin.

SECTION 7, Block XI: Area, 27·8 perches; upset price, £6. Situated about one mile from the Waitati Railway-station.

Town of Kensington.

Part Section 11, Block VII: Area, 0·7 perch; upset price, £15. Situated 78·6 links along Anderson’s Bay Road from the corner of Grosvenor Street and the said road to the south-east corner of the allotment.

Town of Komako.

Section 132: Area, 1 rood; upset price, £5.
Section 134: Area, 1 rood; upset price, £5.
Situated within easy distance of the Waipiata School, post-office, and railway-station, on the Otago Central Railway.

Situated within a quarter of a mile of Patearoa School, post and telephone office, and about eight to nine miles from Waipiata Railway-station on the Otago Central Railway.

Adjoins the Town of Wetherstones. Fairly level section, situated within two miles of the Town of Lawrence.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Otago Land District for other Land.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-two of the Land Act, 1908, as amended by section seventeen of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive by way of equality of exchange any sum not exceeding twenty-five per centum of the estimated value of the Crown land so granted:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF CROWN LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 977 acres 0 roods 10 perches, more or less, being Section 11, Block XII, Gimmerburn Survey District, and Section 20, Block II, Upper Taieri Survey District.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 306 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section 17, Block VI, Naseby Survey District.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 26th day of October, 1920.
