Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

WAIPouA 2B No. 3A Section 2 Block, Waipoua Survey District: Approximate area, 1,157 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of October, 1920.

Stopping Government Roads in Block II, Onewhero Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government roads described in the Schedule hereto; such roads being no longer required for the purposes of roads.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE AREAS of the pieces of Government roads hereby stopped :—

A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
0 3 1·5 Section 238, and part Purapura No. 1 Block; also Lot 5 of Allotment 1, Puni Parish.
0 3 24·2 Lots 5 and 6 of Allotment 1, Puni Parish; also part Purapura No. 1 Block.

Situated in Block II, Onewhero Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 20126.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45017, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of October, 1920.

Constituting the Westland Electric-power District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is provided by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, that any area or areas of land may be constituted an electric-power district under the said Act, and in the manner therein provided :

And whereas a petition, praying that the area described in the First Schedule hereto may be constituted an electric-power district under the said Act, was presented to the Governor-General on the fourteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty :

And whereas such petition was publicly notified in the Hokitika Guardian and Evening Star dated the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, newspapers circulating in the proposed electric-power district :

And whereas, after due inquiry, the Governor-General is of opinion that the petition should be granted, subject to the proposed boundaries of the district being altered as hereinafter appears :

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, do hereby alter the proposed boundaries, and proclaim the district with the altered boundaries as described in the Second Schedule hereto to be an electric-power district, and I hereby assign to such district the name of the “Westland Electric-power District.”

FIRST SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, Westland County, bounded by the south bank of the Taramakau River on the north, and the south bank of the River Mikonui and a line running east from the head of the said Mikonui River on the south, to the eastern boundary of the Westland County on the east, by the eastern boundary of the said county and the Tasman Sea on the west; but excluding the Boroughs of Hokitika, Ross, and Kumara. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49361, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged in red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District bounded towards the north by the south bank of the Taramakau River from its mouth to Harper’s Pass; towards the south-east by the summit of the Southern Alps from Arthur’s Pass to Whitcombe Pass; towards the south-west by the Whitcombe River to its junction with the Price River, thence by a right line to the source of the Mikonui River, and by the north bank of that river to the sea; and towards the north-west by the Tasman Sea: excluding therefrom the Boroughs of Kumara, Hokitika, and Ross.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of October, 1920.

Apportionment of Representation on the Westland Electric-power Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of October, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby determine with respect to the Westland Electric-power District, being an electric-power district duly constituted by Proclamation dated the twenty-sixth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, that the number of representatives of the constituent district on the Board of the said electric-power district shall be nine.

Amended Regulations under the Stock Act, 1908, for the Prevention of Blackleg amongst Cattle.—Notice No. 2041.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of October, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Stock Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, declaring certain infected areas for the purposes of regulations for the prevention of blackleg amongst cattle, and in lieu thereof doth hereby declare that the areas described in the First and Second Schedules hereto shall be infected areas for the purposes of the aforesaid regulations made by Order in Council dated the twentieth day of
