All that area of land in Blocks II, III, IV, VII, VIII, X,
XI, Totara Survey District, in the Land District of Westland,
being Reserves 1628, containing by admeasurement 32,400
acres, more or less. Commencing at the south-western
corner of Block X, Totara Survey District, and proceeding
along the western boundary of the said block to the eastern
boundary of Section 2105; thence along the said eastern
boundary and the northern boundary of Section 2105 to the
said western boundary of Block X, and along that boundary
to the north-western corner of the said block; thence along
the northern boundaries of Blocks X and XI, Totara Survey
District, 31400 links; thence due north to the northern bound-
ary of Block VII, Totara Survey District, and along the said
northern boundary to the western boundary of Block III,
Totara Survey District; thence along the said western
boundary, 9500 links; thence due west to a point on the
eastern boundary of the Borough of Ross; thence along the
said eastern boundary to the right bank of Donnelly’s Creek;
thence along the said bank to a point in line with the southern
boundary of Section 1080; thence to and along the southern
boundary and along the eastern boundary of said Section
1080, to a road reserve; thence along the west side of said
road reserve to the south-western corner of Section 1194;
thence generally along the southern boundaries of said Sec-
tion 1194 and Sections 1474, 1460, 1338, 1498, 1490, 3189,
2857, and 1501 to a road reserve; thence along said road
reserve to a point in line with the southern boundary of
Section 2916, across the said road reserve, and along
the southern and eastern boundaries of said section
and the southern boundary of Section 1556 and the
southern and eastern boundaries of Section 1545 to Cedar
Creek Road, and along the said road to a point in line
with the south-eastern boundary of Section 2523, across the
said road, and along the said section boundary; thence due
north to and across the Totara River to its right bank, and
along the said bank to a point in line with the south-eastern
boundary of Section 1435; thence to the said corner, and
along the western boundary of said section to the northern
boundary of Block III, Totara Survey District, and proceed-
ing along the said block boundary and the northern boundary
of Block IV of the said survey district to the left bank of the
Hokitika River; thence along the said river-bank to the
northern corner of Section 2329; thence along the north-
western and south-western boundary of the said section and
the south-western boundary of Section 2230, across a road
reserve, and generally by the south-western boundaries of
Sections 2331, 2332, and 2333, across a road reserve to the
most northern corner of Section 2336; thence by the north-
western and south-western boundaries of said section, across
a road reserve, across Doctor Creek, again across a road
reserve, and along the south-western boundary of Section
2338 to the eastern boundary of Block VIII, Totara Survey
District; and thence by the eastern and southern boundaries
of Block XI and the southern boundary of Block X, Totara
Survey District, to the point of commencement: save and
except therefrom Sections 2525, 2844, and 2315, which are
within the above-described area. As the same is delineated
on sheet 41, roll plan 450, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Forestry, at Wellington, and thereon bordered
green.
All that area of land in Blocks V, IX, and XIII, Totara
Survey District, and Block XII, Waitaha Survey District, in
the Land District of Westland, being Reserve 1629, contain-
ing by admeasurement 12,600 acres, more or less. Com-
mencing at the north-eastern corner of Block V, Totara
Survey District, and proceeding along the eastern boundaries
of that block and Block IX, Totara Survey District,
to the northern boundary of Section 2105; thence
along the northern, north-western, southern, and eastern
boundaries of said section to the last-mentioned block
boundary, and along that boundary to the southern
boundary of Block IX, Totara Survey District, and along
that boundary and Reserve 154; thence along the north-
eastern boundary of said reserve to Palmer Creek, and along
Palmer Creek, to and across the Little Waitaha River; thence
along the left bank of the Little Waitaha River to a point in
line with the most western boundary of Section 2294, and
along the north-western and south-western boundaries of
that section; thence across a road reserve, Hitchin Creek,
and a road reserve; thence along the south-western bound-
ary of Section 2293, across a road reserve, and along the
southern boundary of Section 2292 to the eastern boundary
of Block XIII, Totara Survey District; thence along the
eastern and southern boundaries of the said Block XIII to
the boundary of Section 932; thence along the eastern
boundary of said Section 932 and Sections 931 and 930,
across a road reserve, along the eastern boundaries of Sections
929 and 928, across a road reserve, along the eastern bound-
aries of Sections 927 and 926, across a road reserve, along the
eastern boundary of Section 925 to the south-eastern boundary
of Section 3012; thence across the Rangitoto Road, and by
the eastern and north-eastern side of the said road to Waitaha
Village; thence along the southern and eastern boundaries
of the said village to the left bank of the Little Waitaha
River; thence along the said bank to a point in line with the
eastern boundary of Section 3093; thence across the river
and road reserve, along the said eastern boundary of Section
3093; thence generally along the eastern boundaries of Sec-
tions 3092, 1936, 2092, 936, 1966, 937, 2527, and Scenic
Reserve 1183; thence along the south-western boundary of
Section 3321 and the southern boundary of Section 2327,
across a road reserve, and again by the said section boundary
produced to and across the Mikonui River to its right bank;
thence along the said bank to a point in line with the south-
ern boundary of Section 3319, across road reserve, and along
the said boundary and the eastern and northern boundaries
of said section, the latter produced to the Mikonui River; and
thence along the right bank of the said river to the northern
boundary of Block V, Totara Survey District, and along the
said block boundary to point of commencement. As the
same is delineated on sheet 41, roll plan 450, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Forestry, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered green.
All that area of land in Block VIII, Waitaha Survey
District, in the Land District of Westland, being Reserve
1630, containing by admeasurement 3,430 acres, more or less.
Commencing at the most eastern corner of Section 3148, and
proceeding along its north-eastern boundary produced to the
sea-coast; thence along the sea-coast to the northern bound-
ary of Block VIII, Waitaha Survey District; thence along
the said block boundary and the eastern boundary of the
said Block VIII to the northern boundary of Reserve 210;
thence along the said northern boundary, across a road, and
again along the said northern boundary of Reserve 210;
thence along the western boundary of the said reserve, across
a road, and again along the said western boundary; thence
along the southern boundary of the said reserve to Section
2911, and by the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of
said section to the southern boundary of Reserve 210; thence
along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Block VIII,
Waitaha Survey District; thence along the said block
boundary to Section 1934, and along the northern and
western boundaries of that section and the western boundaries
of Sections 936 and 2831 to Section 2832; thence along
the northern boundary of Section 2832, across a road reserve,
and along the eastern boundary of Section 2833 and the north-
eastern boundaries of that section, across a proposed railway
reserve and section 2884; and thence generally along the
south-eastern boundaries of Reserve 648 and Sections 2961
and 3148 to point of commencement: save and except
therefrom Section 3084. As the same is delineated on sheet
41, roll plan 450, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Forestry, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
All that area of land in the Westland Land District, situate
in Blocks VII, IX, X, XI, XIII, XIV, and XV, Waitaha and
Clifton Survey Districts, being Reserve 1631, containing
18,000 acres, more or less. Bounded as follows: Commenc-
ing at the northern corner of Carlisle Township Reserve, and
proceeding thence along the sea-coast to a point in line with
the north-western boundary of Section 15; thence to the
north-western corner of Section 15, and along the said north-
western, the south-western, and south-eastern boundaries,
the latter produced to the sea-coast; thence again along the
sea-coast to the mouth of Te Raho Taiepa River, and along
the left bank of that river, 9000 links; thence north-easterly
to a point on the left bank of Duffer’s Creek, and along the
said creek-bank to a point in line with the south-eastern
boundary of Section 2557; thence to and along the said
boundary and the north-eastern boundary of the said section
and the north-eastern boundary of Section 2855 to the south-
eastern boundary of Section 2854, and along the said bound-
ary to the most easterly corner of the said section; thence
south-easterly, 2000 links; thence north-easterly to a point
on the left bank of the Waitaha River; thence along the
said river-bank to a point in line with the western boundary
of Scenic Reserve 1139; thence to the north-western corner
of said reserve and along the said boundary, 14300 links;
thence in a south-westerly direction to the northern boundary
of Scenic Reserve 1191, prolonged 5000 links; thence along
this prolonged line and the northern boundary of the said
scenic reserve; thence along the western boundary of said
scenic reserve to the southern boundary of Block XIV,
Waitaha Survey District; thence along the said block bound-
ary to the right bank of the Wanganui River; and thence
along the said river-bank to the south-western corner of
Carlisle Township Reserve, and along the eastern boundary
of said township reserve to the point of commencement.
