DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

To whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that the Partnership heretofore subsisting
between WILLIAM SMITH, of Dunedin, Otago, New
Zealand, Hairdresser and Tobacconist, and JOHN STARR, of
the same place, Hairdresser and Tobacconist, carried on at
Empire Buildings, Princes Street, Dunedin, under the firm-
name of “Smith and Starr,” as Hairdressers and Tobacconists,
is dissolved from the twentieth day of September, one thou-
sand nine hundred and twenty.

I, LEAH STONE, heretofore called and known by the
name of LEAH FULYERD, of Christchurch, in the Pro-
vincial District of Canterbury and Dominion of New Zealand,
formerly Wife of George Runels Fulyerd, of Christchurch
aforesaid, Labourer, do hereby give public notice that on
the sixteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished,
and abandoned the use of my said surname of “Fulyerd,”
and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth
on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name
of “Stone” instead of the said name of “Fulyerd”; and
I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the sixteenth
day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty,
duly executed and attested, I formally and absolutely re-
nounced and abandoned the said surname of “Fulyerd,”
and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended
thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe
the name of “Leah Stone” instead of “Leah Fulyerd,”
and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and
described by the name of “Leah Stone” exclusively.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hereto-
fore subsisting between the undersigned, WILFRID
COTTON SPROULE, JOHN HUMPHRIES, WALTER HUMPHRIES,
FRANCIS PATRICK KELLY, and THOMAS BORTHWICK MCNEIL,
in the business of Solicitors carried on by them at Napier
and Hastings, under the style of “Cotterill and Humphries,”
has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.
The undersigned Wilfrid Cotton Sproule will henceforward
carry on business in copartnership with Hugh Butler Lusk
and Joseph Morling, under the style of “Lusk, Sproule, and
Morling,” at the premises in Herschell Street, Napier, now
occupied by the firm of Kennedy, Lusk, and Morling.
The undersigned John Humphries and Walter Humphries
will henceforward carry on business together in copartner-
ship, under the style of “Humphries and Humphries,” at
the premises in Shakespeare Road, Napier, heretofore occupied
by the firm of Cotterill and Humphries.
The undersigned Francis Patrick Kelly and Thomas Borth-
wick McNeil will henceforward carry on business in co-
partnership, under the style of “Kelly and McNeil,” at the
premises in Queen Street, Hastings, heretofore occupied by
the firm of Cotterill and Humphries.
Messieurs Robert Dobson and Co., of Browning Street,
Napier, will collect all debts owing to the Napier branch of
the firm of Cotterill and Humphries, and Messieurs Kelly and
McNeil will collect all debts owing to the Hastings branch
of the said firm.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
Acts amending the same.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of
the District of Canterbury, a body corporate incorpo-
rated under the provisions of the Education Act, 1914, pro-
poses to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act,
1908, and its amendments, for educational purposes—that is
to say, for the erection of an infants’ school,—
All that parcel of land situated in Taylor Street in the
City of Christchurch, and being part of Rural Section 235,
and containing by admeasurement 2 roods, and being all
the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 171, folio 32,
commencing at a point distant 273 links in a westerly direction
along the north side of Taylor Street from the junction with
Waltham Road; thence still in a westerly direction a frontage
distance on Taylor Street of 200 links; thence in a northerly
direction on a bearing of 180° 40′ 30″, a distance of 250·9 links;
thence in an easterly direction on a bearing 90° 6′, a distance
of 201·1 links; thence in a southerly direction on a bearing of
180° 55′ 30″, a distance of 250 links, to the point of com-
mencement. As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan below mentioned, and therein coloured green.
And also all that parcel of land situated in Taylor Street
in the said City of Christchurch, and being part of Rural
Section 235, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, com-
mencing at a point distant 473 links along the north side of
Taylor Street from the junction with Waltham Road on a
bearing of 89° 48′ 40″, thence on the same bearing a frontage
distance on Taylor Street of 200 links, thence in a northerly
direction a distance of 250 links, thence in an easterly direc-
tion a distance of 200 links, thence in a southerly direction
on a bearing of 180° 40′ 30″, a distance of 250·9 links, to the
point of commencement. As the same is also more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan below mentioned, and therein
coloured green.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the
land required to be taken, and the names of the owners and
occupiers of such land, is deposited at the offices of the
Education Board of the District of Canterbury, Oxford
Terrace, Christchurch aforesaid, where it lies open for public
inspection daily (without fee) during all reasonable hours.
And that all persons affected shall, if they have any objection
to the taking of such land, set forth in writing such objection,
and send such writing, within forty days from the date of
the first publication of such notice, being the thirtieth day
of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty,
addressed to the Chairman of the Education Board of the
District of Canterbury at the office of the Board, Oxford
Terrace, Christchurch.

IN pursuance of the Companies Act, 1908, public notice
is hereby given that the above company intends to
cease carrying on business in New Zealand. No break in
the company’s operations will thereby occur, as a local
company under the name of Makower, McBeath, and Company
(Limited)” has been formed to acquire the New Zealand
portion of the business of the first-named company. The
business will be carried on by the new company at the pre-
mises 65 and 67 Victoria Street, Wellington, as hitherto.
