THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Council of the County of Hobson, is published in
accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913.

NOTICE is hereby given that at the respective polls of rate-
payers taken on the 9th day of September, 1920, on the
proposals to borrow the sums as stated hereunder, the number
of votes recorded for each proposal was as follows :-

Dargaville-Katui Loan, £15,000, for the purpose of form-
ing and metalling the Dargaville–Katui Road and Maropiu–
Kairara Road : For the proposal, 70 ; against the proposal, 4. -
Bayly’s Coast Road Loan, £5,000, for the purpose of
forming and metalling Bayly’s Coast Road : For the proposal,
13 ; against the proposal, 6 ; informal, 1. -
Kopuru Roads Loan, £2,600, for the purpose of forma-
tion of roads and footpaths at Newport, formation and part
metalling of Brown’s Road, formation and metalling of Main
Road and West Coast Road : For the proposal, 40 ; against

Miti tai–Horehore Road Loan, £2,000, for the purpose of
forming and metalling the new road from Miti tai to Hore-

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
Wairamarama No. 2 Special Rating District.—Loan of £2,000
for the Purpose of forming and metalling the Wairamarama
Road.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that the following is
the result of a poll of the ratepayers of the Wairamarama
No. 2 Special Rating District of the County of Raglan
taken on the 25th day of September, 1920, on the proposal
to borrow the sum of £2,000 for the purpose of forming
and metalling the Wairamarama Road : Total number of
valid votes recorded, 27 ; for the proposal, 21 ; against the
proposal, 6.
The total number of valid votes recorded in favour of the
proposal being more than three-fifths of the total number of
valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal to be
carried.

Date of Election to fill Extraordinary Vacancy on Rotorua Fire
Board by Fire-insurance Companies.

made thereunder, I, George James Anderson, being the
Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do
hereby appoint Friday, the 22nd October, 1920, to be the
date for holding the election of one member of the Rotorua
Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such
election being held to fill an extraordinary vacancy caused
by the resignation of Mr. James Watson.

WARNING is hereby given that the s.s. “Baden Powell”
is reported to have struck a rock or shoal off Opunake
on the 19th February, 1920.
Mariners are requested to insert on Charts Nos. 2054, 1212,
a note which appears on Chart 2535 near Cape Egmont—
thus, “Outlying shoal spots are reported to exist in this
vicinity, as also near the shore to the north of Cape Egmont.”
