Land in Nelson Land District for Lease to Discharged Soldiers.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 25th August, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for selection on renewable lease under the discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder, and section 21 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 13th September, 1920.
The land may be selected on renewable lease for sixty-six years, with perpetual right of renewal for further successive terms of sixty-six years.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, at 10.45 o’clock a.m. on Tuesday, the 14th September, 1920.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.—NATIONAL ENDOWMENT.
Waimea County.—Tadmor Survey District.
Exempt from Rent for Four Years.
SECTION 9, Block XV: Area, 1,000 acres; capital value, £750; half-yearly rent, £15.
Broken pastoral country, well watered; covered with forest of birch and cedar, with a little rimu, rata, and totara. Fair soil. Altitude, 1,200 ft. to 2,000 ft. above sea-level. Seven miles and a half from Glenhope Railway-station—seven miles by main road, balance unformed road; or eight miles from Kohatu Railway-station—seven miles and a half by main road, balance unformed road.

Lands in the Otago Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.

Dunedin, 24th August, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 11th October, 1920.
The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for sixty-six years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of sixty-six years, and a right to acquire the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 14th October, 1920, at 10 o’clock a.m.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—CROWN LAND.
Maniototo County.—Naseby Survey District.
SECTION 1, Block XI: Area, 82 acres 1 rood 6 perches; capital value, £570; annual instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £28 10s.; half-yearly rent on lease, £12 16s. 6d. Weighted with £170, valuation for improvements consisting of house, cottage, shed, and fencing.
The successful applicant will be required to take out a grazing license over Sections 22 and 23, Block XI, Naseby District, containing 16 acres 3 roods 39 perches (of which 14 acres are planted), at a rental of 20s. per annum. A condition of the license will be that only sheep be grazed thereon.
Situated about two miles to two miles and a half from Wedderburn Railway-siding, school, and post-office on a good road.
Clutha County.—Woodland Survey District.
Section 29, Block X: Area, 210 acres 2 roods; capital value, £320; annual instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £16; half-yearly rent on lease, £7 4s.
Situated about twelve to thirteen miles from Owaka and about eight or nine miles from Catlin’s Siding, the nearest railway-siding. There is a formed road to within half a mile of its north-east boundary.
The soil is generally of a light nature, but would be a good grazing section when cleared. It lies on a number of flat or rolling ridges, and there are 10 to 12 acres of swampy land on one ridge. This, however, could be drained into an adjacent gully. There are several small streams that give permanent water.

Land in the Southland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section will be offered for sale by public auction for cash, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Monday, the 13th day of September, 1920.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—RURAL LAND.
SECTION 5, Heddon Bush Township, Southland County: Area, 5 acres; upset price, £37 10s.
DESCRIPTION.
Level land of good quality, covered with white-pine timber. Access unformed for last half-mile.
CONDITIONS OF SALE.
One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown-grant fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.
Title will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.
