NEW WAITAIA GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the New Waitaia Gold-mining Company (Limited) duly convened and held at No. 108 Victoria Arcade, Queen Street, Auckland, on the 12th day of July, 1920, the subjoined resolution was duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company duly convened and held at the same place on the 9th day of August, 1920, the subjoined resolution was duly confirmed, viz. :—
“That the New Waitaia Gold-mining Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”
And at the last above-named meeting HENRY GILFILLAN, of Auckland, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897, the Wellington City Empowering Act, 1899, the Wellington City Empowering Act, 1908, the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and their amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, the widening of Constable and Riddiford Streets of the City of Wellington; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 16 (e) of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500), authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming, culverting, and fencing Alexander Road, and also to form and culvert the road from Harris’s boundary to Webster’s gate—to be allocated as follows: £600 for fencing Alexander Road, and £900 towards the cost of forming and culverting the two roads mentioned—the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Kakepuku Special Rating Area, such special rating area being as follows: Commencing at the north-east corner of the Waitomo County boundary where it joins the Punui River; thence along the Punui River in a westerly direction to the Waipa River; thence in a southerly direction along the Waipa River to the south-west corner of that portion of Kopua 1B 2 on the eastern side of the Waipa River; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of the following sections—Sections part Kopua 1B 2, Section 5, Block VIII, Pirongia, Kakepuku 6c, Kakepuku No. 6B 2 Kakepuku 6D 2—to the southern boundary of Section 4, Block V, Punui; thence along its southern boundary to a point immediately opposite on the northern boundary so as to draw an imaginary line cutting Section 4, Block V, in half; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of Kakepuku No. 5B, the eastern boundary of Kakepuku 2C 2, and the southern boundary of part of Kakepuku No. 2A to the Waitomo County boundary; thence in a northerly direction following the county boundary to the Punui River, the starting-point. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
