Postmaster appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.
Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that
JAMES TREWIN,
being a person holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at Marohemo, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
As witness my hand this 11th day of August, 1920.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Timaru and the County of Levels.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 11th August, 1920.
Pursuant to the provisions of section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the Borough of Timaru are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by an Order in Council dated the 5th day of July, 1920, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, as amended by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 65, of the 8th day of July, 1920.
And also, in pursuance of the said section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the County of Levels affected by the said Order in Council dated the 5th day of July, 1920, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF TIMARU.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point at high-water mark on the seashore opposite the north-eastern corner of Rural Section No. 2445; thence westerly to and along the northern boundary of that section to the railway reserve; thence southerly along the eastern side of the railway reserve to Eversley Road; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of the said Eversley Road to a point opposite the north-western corner of Allotment No. 53 of Rural Section No. 2445; thence southerly across a road and along the western boundary of the said allotment for a distance of 400 links; thence westerly along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Allotment No. 12 of Rural Section No. 8137; thence northerly along the western side of the railway land to a point 200 links distant from the northern side of the Waimataitai Road measured at right angles with the line of that road; thence along a line bearing 273° 54′, distance 164·65 links; thence northerly bearing 3° 54′, distance 150 links; thence westerly bearing 273° 54′ to the eastern boundary of Allotment No. 11 of Rural Section No. 8137; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 11 and 12, and westerly along the northern boundary of Allotment No. 31 of the said Rural Section No. 8137 to the main road; thence southerly along the eastern side of the main road to a point opposite the northernmost corner of Allotment No. 19 of Rural Section No. 2282; thence across the main road and along the south-eastern side of Luxmore Road to a point 170 links distant from the said main road measured at right angles therefrom; thence southerly along a line parallel with and 170 links distant from the main road to the southern boundary of Allotment No. 20 of Rural Section No. 2282; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment to its south-western corner; thence southerly along the western boundary of Allotment No. 21 to its south-western corner; thence south-westerly along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Allotment No. 6 on plan No. 2450, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Allotment No. 6 to a public road; thence southerly along the eastern side of that road to the south-western corner of Allotment No. 8 on the said plan No. 2450; thence westerly along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Allotment No. 5 on plan No. 1347, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment and across a public road; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Allotment No. 13A of the said plan No. 1347 to the north-eastern corner of that allotment; thence westerly to the north-western corner of Allotment No. 15 on the said plan No. 1347; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 4 on plan No. 361, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch, to the north-eastern corner of that allotment; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of the said Allotment No. 4 to the old North Road; thence along a line being the production of the said north-western boundary across the old North Road and to a point 500 links distant from that road measured at right angles therefrom; thence southerly parallel to and 500 links distant from that road to the northern boundary of Rural Section No. 1846; thence westerly along the northern boundary of that section to the westernmost corner of Allotment No. 1 on plan No. 2545, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said Allotment No. 1 to the stream forming the boundary between Rural Sections Nos. 1846 and 1529; thence westerly along that stream and its southern branch to the eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 5742; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of that section and its production across the Wai-iti Road and to a point 500 links distant from that road measured at right angles therefrom; thence south-easterly parallel to and 500 links distant from Wai-iti and Otipua Roads to the southern boundary of Rural Section No. 4497; thence along the south-western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 1 to 14 inclusive on plan No. 1900, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence along a right line from the south-western corner of the last-mentioned allotment to a point on the eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 4839 distant 595·4 links from the Otipua Road measured along the said eastern boundary; thence along the south-western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 of Rural Section No. 2139 to Mount Horrible Road; thence easterly along the northern side of that road to Otipua Road; thence southerly across Mount Horrible or Coonor Road to the north-western corner of Lot 3, D.P. 2306; thence in a westerly direction along the southern side of the said Coonor Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 1332; thence along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that lot to the northernmost corner of Lot 4, D.P. 1080, and along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that lot to its southernmost corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 1690 to the Otipua Creek, and down the left bank of that creek to the southernmost corner of Lot 42, D.P. 437; thence to and along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 1700 to the western boundary of Rural Section 1730, and along that boundary to the south-western corner of Lot 48, D.P. 3433; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 48 to its southernmost corner, along a right line to the south-western corner of Lot 47 of the said D.P., and along the south-western boundaries of Lots 47, 46, 45, 44, 43, 42, 41, 40, and 39, D.P. 3433; thence along a right line to the south-western corner of Lot 37 of the said D.P. 3433, and along the south-western boundary of that lot to the eastern boundary of Rural Section 1730, along the said boundary to the southernmost corner of that section, and along a right line to the northernmost corner of the area shown on D.P. 1128, along the eastern boundaries of that land to the main South Road; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of that road to the north-eastern side of a road intersecting Rural Section 1721; thence southerly across the main South Road to the north-western corner of Rural Section No. 1911; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 1911 and 1998 to the Otipua Lagoon; thence generally southerly along the western and southern sides of that lagoon to its south-eastern corner; thence south-easterly to high-water mark of the sea; thence northerly along the high-water mark of the sea to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF LEVELS.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing in the middle of the Opihi River at a point opposite to the northernmost corner of Section 27460 in Block XII, Tengawai Survey District, and proceeding thence down the middle of the said river to its mouth; thence southerly along the sea-coast to the mouth of the Pareora River, and up the middle of that river to its intersection by a road fronting Section 81, Rosewill Settlement; thence north-westerly along that road to the Cave Railway-station; thence across the railway reserve and Tengawai River to the left bank of the said river, and along that bank to the western boundary of Section 27, Albury Settlement, and along that boundary, the western and north-western boundaries of Section 22, said settlement, the western boundaries of Sections 28941 and 27460, and the production of the latter to the middle of the Opihi River at the point of commencement: excepting therefrom the Borough of Timaru, and all lands north and south of the said borough which are vested in the Timaru Harbour Board.
