Notifying Lands in Auckland District under Section 127 of the Land Act, 1908.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of the said section one hundred and twenty-seven of the said Act; and I do further declare that the said lands shall be deemed to be βheavy-bush land,β and shall be exempt from payment of rent and general rates for a period of three years from the dates from which such lands are disposed of.

Appointing a Member of the Gisborne Harbour Board.

WHEREAS it is provided by section seventeen of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1910, that the office of any member of a Harbour Board shall become vacant if, inter alia, he resigns his office by writing under his hand delivered to the Secretary or Chairman of the Board:
And whereas it is provided by subsection two of section eighteen of the said Act that when an elective member, other than a representative of a constituent district, vacates his office on the Board through the operation of the said section seventeen, the Governor-General may, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place:
And whereas Joseph William James Preston, an elective member of the Gisborne Harbour Board, being a representative of the payers of harbour dues, has resigned his office as a member of the Board, and it is desirable to appoint a qualified person as a representative in his place:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint

to be a member of the Gisborne Harbour Board, as a representative of the payers of harbour dues, in the place of Joseph William James Preston, resigned.

Notice exempting certain Lands from the Operation of Part II of the Coal-mines Act, 1908.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Coal-mines Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the lands referred to and described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part II of the Coal-mines Act, 1908; and I do also direct that the land so exempted shall be dealt with under the provisions of the Westland and Nelson Coalfields Administration Act, 1877, and the amendments thereof.
SCHEDULE.
LANDS EXEMPTED.
ALL that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 1,620 acres 3 roods 11 perches, be the same more or less, situated in the Land District of Nelson, being Sections 8, Block XV, Mokihinui Survey District, and 8, Block III, Ngakawau Survey District, and bounded as follows: On the north-eastward and eastward, 3233 links; by a public road, 4562 links, 1258 links, 3208 links, 1836 links, and 3998 links; by Crown land and 1446 links by Section 7, and 12672 links by a public road along the bank of Chasm Creek; on the south-eastward, 3929 links, by Section 7; on the south-westward, 21888 links, partly by Crown land, and partly by Section 9; on the north-westward, 3406 links, partly by Section 9 and partly by Crown land, and 4248 links by a public road along the bank of Chasm Creek; and on the north by the State coal reserve, 1600 links and 5875 links, to the place of commencement.
As the same is delineated on the plan marked Mines, 1917/766, deposited in Head Office, Mines Department, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Notice setting apart certain Land within the Auckland Land District exclusively for Use as a Village Reserve.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section thirteen of the Coal-mines Amendment Act, 1919, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart for the purposes of State coal-mines as a village reserve the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Lots 1, 2, and 3, Village Reserve, Whangape Parish, containing by admeasurement 326 acres 0 roods 38.9 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east generally by Section 10, Block X, Rangiriri Survey District, 808.6 and 4898.6 links, by a public road, 695 links, and by the crossing of a road and by Section 1, Block XIV of the aforesaid survey district, 1768.1 links; towards the south-east generally by Section 151, Pepepe Parish, the abutments of a road, and Sections 85 and 148 of aforesaid parish, 4018.7 links; across and by a public road 208.4 links, by Section 130A, Whangape Parish, 865.1 and 599.75 links; towards the south-west generally by a public road, 1845.1, 512, 189, 494.1, 435.6, 343.9, and 446.4 links; towards the west generally by the centre of a drain 9 links wide, forming the eastern boundary of Sections 136 and 43, Whangape Parish, 3291.3, 1542.4, and 1106.8 links: save and excepting a public road intersecting the above-described area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked Mines 34/1, and thereon edged red.
