THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

That, for the purpose of providing instalments in respect
of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan
of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Gisborne Borough
Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for erection
of workers’ dwellings on land owned by the Council, the said
Gisborne Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of seven sixty-fourths (7/64ths) of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the
Borough of Gisborne, comprising the whole of the Borough
of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of
July in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Waipawa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £25,000, authorized to be raised by the Waipawa
County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
for the erection of new bridges, purchase of roadmaking
machinery, plant, and equipment, acquisition of land and
erectiion of roadmen’s cottages, the said Waipawa County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-four
one-hundred-and-twenty-fifths of a penny in the pound upon
the rateable value of all rateable property within the County
of Waipawa (the boundaries of the said county being described
in the First Schedule to the Waipawa County Act, 1907);
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the first day of July in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a
half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TE PUKE TOWN BOARD.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Te Puke Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Te Puke
Town Board Electric-lighting Loan of £9,000, 1920, autho-
rized to be raised by the Board, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of—

(a.) Reticulating the town district with wires carrying
light and power along the streets, and connecting
buildings within 66 ft. of the street with the said
electric wires when so requested by the owners,
and supplying and fixing meters: £6,350

(b.) The purchase of land for the substation: £200

(c.) The erection of a substation: £400

(d.) The purchase of material for future use: £1,000

(e.) Engineer’s charges: £387 10s.

(f.) Costs of raising loan: £100

the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
penny and one halfpenny in the pound sterling on all the
rateable property within the town district; and that such
special rate shall be an annualing recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the
first days of December and June during the currency of such
loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN LIQUIDATION.—NOTICE OF FINAL MEETING.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of
the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of
members of above-named company will be held at my office,
Tarbert Street, Alexandra, on Thursday, the 5th day of
August, 1920, at 7.30 p.m., for the purpose of having an
account laid before them showing the manner in which the
winding-up has been conducted and the property disposed of;
also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner
in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company
and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

BITUCO ROAD BINDER COMPANY (LIMITED).

THAT the Bituco Road Binder Company shall be wound
up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies
Act, 1908, and that DAVID TEED, of Newmarket, be and is
hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-
up.

INGLEWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL.

REGISTRATION OF MOTORS.—NOTICE CONSTITUTING THE
INGLEWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL A REGISTERING AUTHORITY
UNDER THE MOTOR REGULATION ACT, 1908, PART II.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Inglewood County
Council, at a meeting held on Saturday, the 10th day
of July, 1920, at the Council Offices, Inglewood, passed the
following resolution:—

That, pursuant to the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, Part II,
sections 12 and 13, the Inglewood County hereby becomes
a registering authority within the meaning of the said Act,
and that the provisions of the said Act shall extend and
apply to the County of Inglewood and become operative
within the said county on and after the ninth day of August,
1920;

KATUI-DONNELLY’S LOAN.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a poll of ratepayers
taken on the 8th day of July, 1920, on the proposal
to borrow £3,000 for the formation and metalling of Katui-
Donnelly’s Road and Kirk’s Road, the number of votes
recorded was as follows: For the proposal, 19; against the
proposal, nil.

I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named
company duly convened and held on Saturday, 3rd
July, 1920, the following extraordinary resolution was duly
passed:—

That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the members
of D. R. Walker and Company (Limited) that the company
cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and
it is advisable to wind up the same voluntarily; and that
Messrs. SILK, HAWORTH, AND COMPANY be appointed Li-
quidators.
