And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution
should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter
mentioned :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the
said resolution, subject to the condition that no building, or
part of a building, shall at any time be erected on either side
of the said street within a distance of thirty-three feet of the
centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that street in the City of Christchurch, known as Archer
Street, situated between Flockton Street and Shirley Road
in the said city. As the said street is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48534, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink bordered
red.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-first
day of June, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty, subsection one, of the
Finance Act, 1919, it is provided that, notwith-
standing any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful
or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour
Board to borrow or contract to borrow any money (other-
wise than by way of bank overdraft within the limit of
its powers, if any, in that behalf), whether from the State
Advances Office or from any other source whatever, and
whether in pursuance of a special Act or under any other
authority whatever, without the precedent consent of the
Governor-General in Council :
And whereas application has been made for the consent of
the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local
authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the
sums set out therein :
And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of
the Governor-General in Council should issue :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter
mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the
Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which
the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case
produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-quarter
pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that
this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that
behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accord-
ingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the
raising of the loans hereby authorized

Declaring Portion of Awakino Valley (Upper) Road, in the
Awakino County, to be a County Road.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-first
day of June, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him
by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zea-
land, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order
and declare that the portion of road described in the Sche-
dule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in
Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Awakino Valley (Upper) Road, in the
Auckland Land District, Awakino County, commencing at its
junction with the Te Kuiti - Mokau Road, and proceeding
thence generally in a north-westerly direction, adjoining or
passing through Sections N.E. 2 and 1, Block V, Awakino
East Survey District, and terminating at the south-eastern
corner of Section 1, Block I, Awakino East Survey District ;
being a distance of three miles, more or less. As the said
portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 48766, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land Dis-
trict, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Road in Block I, Takahue Survey District, to be a
Government Road.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48796,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-first
day of June, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed β€œthe said
Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time
to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such per-
sons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain
Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of
such domain :
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-
sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-
