Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Waipukurau, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

WAIPUKURAU COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, we hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Waipukurau taken on the 1st day of June, 1920, on the proposal of the Waipukurau County Council to borrow the sum of £3,000 for the purchase of roadmaking plant, erection of buildings or a building for housing the Council’s plant, and for the acquisition of land for a works site, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 75, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 67.
We therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

DANNEVIRKE COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll to establish Bridge Rate Fund under Sections 23 and 24 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Dannevirke was taken on the 2nd day of June, 1920, on the proposal of the Dannevirke County Council to establish a Bridge Rate Fund.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 429, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 13.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
