RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—MATAKANA SPECIAL LOAN 10-PER-CENT. ADDITIONAL, £150.

In pursuance and exercise of powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of paying the interest and other charges upon a loan of £150, for the purpose of completing the metalling of roads in the Matakana Riding Special Loan District, such loan of £150 being a ten-per-cent. additional loan on a loan of £1,500 authorized by the ratepayers for the purpose of forming and metalling roads in the said special loan district, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fortieth of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all the rateable property in the Matakana Riding Special Loan District; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, to be payable yearly upon the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913 and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Dargaville Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Dargaville Borough Council Gas Extension Loan of £1,000, 1920, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending the gas-mains from the junction of Mangawhare Road and Murdock Street through Duck Creek to a point opposite Lot 3 of Section 7, Aoroa Block, a distance of approximately 86 chains, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Dargaville; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Notice is hereby given that a special resolution was passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company held on 28th day of April, 1920, and confirmed at a subsequent general meeting held on the 20th day of May, 1920, whereby it was resolved that the company go into voluntary liquidation for the purpose of disposing of the whole of its assets and distributing the proceeds thereof amongst the members of the company; and that Henry Arthur Lennon, of Hawera, Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
