Meeting of the General Assembly for the Despatch of Business.

To the LEGISLATIVE COUNCILLORS of the Dominion of New Zealand and the MEMBERS elected to serve in the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES of the said Dominion, summoned and called to a Meeting of the General Assembly of the said Dominion, at the City of Wellington, on the seventeenth day of the month of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, to have been commenced and held, and to every of you: GREETING.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Meeting of the General Assembly stands prorogued to the seventeenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty: Nevertheless, for certain causes and considerations I have thought fit further to prorogue the same to Thursday, the twenty-fourth day of the month of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, so that neither you nor any of you, on the said seventeenth day of June, at the City of Wellington, are to be held constrained to appear; commanding and by the tenor of these presents enjoining you and each of you, and all others in this behalf interested, that on Thursday, the twenty-fourth day of the month of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, personally you be and appear for the DESPATCH OF BUSINESS, at half past two o’clock in the afternoon, in the Parliament Houses, situate in Bowen Street, in the City of Wellington, there to take into consideration the state and welfare of the said Dominion of New Zealand, and therein to do as may seem necessary.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this second day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.
