All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk at the Town Board Office, Matamata.

APPOINTMENT OF MANAGING RATEPAYERS.
I HEREBY certify that the Masterton County Council has by special order increased the number of Managing Ratepayers for the Opaki and Lansdowne Water-supply Districts from six to seven, and has appointed Mr. ALEXANDER J. COOPER, Stock Agent, and THOMAS FRASER WATSON, Merchant, both of Masterton, to fill vacancies in the said Board of Managers.

MOUNT HERBERT COUNTY COUNCIL.
INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF A ROAD.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, to execute a public work—to wit,
to make a road in the Mount Herbert County; and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the Mount Herbert County Council at Purau, and is there open for inspection during office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the Mount Herbert County Council at Purau.
Description.
All that piece of land situate in Block III of the Halswell Survey District, containing three roods and thirty-eight perches, more or less, being part of the Rural Sections 184 (1) and 249A, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the south-eastern side of the Governor’s Bay Road distant from Mount Pleasant Geodetical Station south 23977·9 links, and west 32503 links; thence south-easterly 131° 30′, 178·1 links, 151° 04′ 30″, 118·9 links; thence south-westerly 189° 27′, 93·5 links; thence south-easterly 151° 18′, 68·5 links, 128° 59′, 221·2 links; 170° 49′, 175·1 links, 120° 32′, 121·8 links; thence north-easterly following the road reserved along H.W.M. 45° 59′, 63·5 links, and 39° 25′, 39¼ links; thence north-westerly, north-easterly, and north-westerly by lines parallel to and 100 links from the aforementioned lines distances respectively of 97·8 links, 166·4 links, 239·7 links, 14·2 links, 93·7 links, 170·9 links, and 217·7 links to the Governor’s Bay Road aforesaid; and thence south-easterly along the said road, 102 and 45/100ths links to the commencing-point. As the said piece of land is shown on the plan of same, and coloured red.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of sections 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at Gold and Arcus’s office, Dominion Farmers’ Institute, Featherston Street, Wellington, on Friday, the 6th day of February, 1920, at 5 o’clock in the evening, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.
