Land withdrawn from State-forest Reservation.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and published in Gazette of the third day of that month, certain lands in Upper Taieri Survey District, Otago Land District, were, inter alia, set apart as and for State forests in terms of the New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885 :

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto (being part of the lands so set apart) are open lands, and it is expedient that the said Proclamation should be rescinded in so far as it relates to the lands described in the said Schedule :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twenty-eight of the State Forests Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby rescind the Proclamation dated the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, hereinbefore referred to, in so far as it relates to the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

Description of Land to be withdrawn from State Forest.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,187 acres 3 roods 15 perches, more or less,

being Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block VI, Upper Taieri Survey District, and bounded as follows : Towards the north by Sections 18 and 19 of the said block and district, 8019 links ; towards the east generally by the river-bank reserve on the left bank of the Taieri River, 27600 links, and a ford reserve, 1100 links ; towards the south generally by the said river-bank reserve, 12450 links, the crossing of the Taieri River, 150 links, and Section 2, Block XII, Upper Taieri Survey District aforesaid, 511 links ; and towards the west by Crown land, 12333 links : be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less : and excepting from the above-described area five intersecting roads.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies ; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.
