the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land :And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909 :Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

SCHEDULE.Komene Block, 1892 Act, Lease Sale No. 1, being Subdivision 11, Section 32, Block V, Sections 24 and 28, Block V, Lots 8 and 9, Section 4, Block X, Cape Survey District :Approximate area, 955 acres 2 roods 29 perches.Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies ; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.W. NOSWORTHY,For Native Minister.GOD SAVE THE KING !Prison proclaimed.[L.S.] LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.A PROCLAMATION.WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Prisons Act, 1908, it is provided that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation published in the Gazette, declare any house, building, enclosure, or place to be a prison, and from and after the gazetting of any such Proclamation, or from any time later specified in the Proclamation, such house, building, enclosure, or place shall be deemed a prison :Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto, and all buildings and enclosures used or occupied thereon, shall, from and after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the Gazette, be a prison, known as the Roto-aira Prison No. IV, within the meaning and for the purposes of the Prisons Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, being part of the Waimanu Block, containing approximately 50 acres, bounded towards the north by the Waimarino-Tokaanu Road from peg No. CXC to peg No. CLXXXVII shown on road-plan No. 178/7, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington ; bounded towards the east by a right line running due south from the above peg No. CLXXXVII for a distance of about twenty chains ; bounded towards the south by a right line running due west ; and towards the west by a right line running due north to the said peg No. CXC.Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies ; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-first day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.E. LEE,Minister of Justice.GOD SAVE THE KING!Declaring Road-line through Land in Ohapi Settlement, Canterbury Land District, to be closed.LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General, from which it appears that the road described in the Schedule hereto is unformed and unused. and that the said road intersects land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and is not suitable to the subdivision of such land :Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the road hereinafter described ; and I do hereby declare that the said road shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.

SCHEDULE.OHAPI SETTLEMENT.APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road to be closed : 5 acres 0 roods 17 perches.Adjoining or passing through Section 11098, Block XI, Geraldine Survey District.In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 21/158, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.W. NOSWORTHY,For Minister of Lands.Opening Education Reserves in Wellington Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the education reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease for the term of thirty-three years, with right of renewal for successive periods of thirty-three years, on Thursday, the twenty-seventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule ; and I do also declare that the said reserves shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.
