Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Blocks II, VII, and VIII, Clyde Survey District, Wairoa County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a road in Blocks II, VII, and VIII, Clyde Survey District, Wairoa County:

And whereas the Wairoa County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Counties Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48389, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this third day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

Land taken for the Purposes of Workers’ Dwellings in the City of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of workers’ dwellings in the City of Wellington:

And whereas the Wellington City Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map (in duplicate) and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in

the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said workers’ dwellings, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 3 acres O roods 38.96 perches.

Portion of Section 31, Karori, Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District (City of Wellington).

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48405, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Land taken for a Further Portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Paengaroa Section).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Paengaroa Section):

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 14 perches.

Portion of Pukaingataru B No. 2A Section 2, Block III, Maketu Survey District. (S.O. 19405.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42063, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green edged green.
