Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in Hutt County, at Plimmerton.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Foxton Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the County of Hutt, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Hutt County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land: 1·4 perches and 3·87 perches.
Portions of railway reserve (Taupō No. 3), Block V, Paikakariki Survey District, Hutt County.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 27207,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-second day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway, to take further land at Rolleston, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway, and to take land for road-diversion in connection therewith:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
