RESOLUTION.
THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Wanganui Trotting Club at a meeting held on the 11th day of December, 1919, at 7.30 p.m., at Wanganui, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. C. E. Mackay, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. C. E. Mackay, the Chairman of the Club and the Meeting, moved, and Mr. W. R. Tuck seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to :—
WANGANUI TROTTING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Wanganui Trotting Club, a trotting club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby revoke the regulations dated the 8th day of March, 1919, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Borough of Wanganui situated in the District of Wanganui East, and known as Liverpool Park Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “trotting club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely,—
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and bookmakers’ agents.
(c.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference.
(d.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
(e.) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of housebreaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.
The foregoing regulations of the Wanganui Trotting Club were passed and made by the Wanganui Trotting Club on the 11th day of December, 1919, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
UAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the Counties Act, 1908, this Council has resolved, by special order made at a special meeting held on Saturday, 13th December, 1919, to make certain general by-laws, building by-laws, and sanitary by-laws over a special district.
Full copy of said by-laws may be seen at the office of the county, Gisborne Farmers’ Co-operative Company’s Buildings, Tolaga Bay, during office hours.
A special meeting of the Council will be held on Saturday, 24th January, 1920, to confirm the special order.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the above company will be held at No. 108 Victoria Arcade, Queen Street, Auckland, on Friday, 30th January, 1920, at 10.45 a.m., to receive the Liquidator’s account showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted.

ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.—OMONA RIDING LOAN, £3,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Eltham County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for forming and metalling Rawhitiroa Road in the Omona Riding, the said Eltham County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 10/38ths of one penny in the pound upon the capital value of all the rateable property within the boundaries of the Omona Riding of the Eltham County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purchase, construction, erection, and laying of retort-beds, condensers, gas-mains, and other additions and extensions of the gasworks of the Borough of Hamilton, the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourteenth of a penny in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property of the Borough of Hamilton, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hamilton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £33,000, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes,—
For the purchase, construction, erection, and fitting of electric lines, machinery, plant, lamps, meters, fittings, and appliances for distributing and measuring electricity and for supplying electricity to consumers, and for the purposes of the Council and for lighting streets : £26,000.
For the purchase, construction, laying, and fitting of additional machinery, pipes, mains, intakes, fittings, and appliances for the supply of water : £5,000.
For the erection of offices, houses, and buildings for the use of the staff and workmen of the Council’s electricity and waterworks departments : £2,000.
And the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound (£1) upon
