PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
PUBLIC WORKS LOAN, £39,500.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL
RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves as fol-
lows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £39,500, authorized to be raised by the
Palmerston North Borough Council, under the above-men-
tioned Act, for construction of concrete water-tables, laying
down of roadways in tarred macadam or other process, con-
struction or reinstatement of bridges in concrete construction,
of new footways and repairs to existing footways, and cycle-
tracks, the said Palmerston North Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of fourteen thirty-thirds
(14/33rds) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the Borough of Palmerston North,
comprising the whole of the said borough; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day
of June in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
WATER AND SEWERAGE LOAN OF £25,500.—RESOLUTION
MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves as fol-
lows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £25,500, authorized to be raised by the
Palmerston North Borough Council, under the above-men-
tioned Act, for the purpose of extending the sewer through
unsewered streets, extending the water reticulation and pur-
chase of water-meter, and to provide a sewerage system for
Hokowhitu and purchase of pumping plant and equipment,
the said Palmerston North Borough Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of eighteen sixty-fifths (18/65ths) of a
penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the Borough of Palmerston North, comprising the
whole of the said borough; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves as fol-
lows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £24,500, authorized to be raised by the
Palmerston North Borough Council, under the above-men-
tioned Act, for the purpose of providing sufficient electrical
traction, providing extra lavatory accommodation, and erec-
tion of destructor and purchase of plant and equipment, the
said Palmerston North Borough Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of twenty-one eightieths (21/80ths) of a
penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the Borough of Palmerston North, comprising the
whole of the said borough; and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.

Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves as fol-
lows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £19,475, authorized to be raised by the
Palmerston North Borough Council, under the above-men-
tioned Act, for the purpose of straightening, widening, and
deepening the Kawau Drain, carrying out of a storm-water
scheme and construction of concrete conduits, and the
straightening, widening, and deepening of the Hokowhitu
Lagoons, the said Palmerston North Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of nine forty-seconds (9/42nds)
of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
