entrance to Kaipara Harbour, and containing by admeasurement 13,000 acres, more or less, bounded towards the north-west by Nos. 1 and 2 of the said Pouto No. 2E Block from the sea to the north-western corner of No. 10B of same block; thence towards the north-east by the said No. 10B; thence towards the south by a strip of Crown land adjoining Wahi Tapu Block, by the Crown land on which the lighthouse and signal-station are situated, and by the Crown land formerly known as Pouto No. 2D; thence towards the west by the sea to the place of commencement: also certain areas at Pouto Point, being the lakes known as Moheno Lake and Karaka Lake and the small lakes and lagoons adjacent to and in the vicinity of those lakes: also certain areas of water at Pouto Point, situated in the Okaka Survey District (see Gazette No. 42, of the 8th March, 1917, page 865): also the game farm at Aratapu, and an area one mile in width surrounding the said farm: and also all lands notified or set apart as sanctuaries or reserves for the preservation of imported or native game.

Shooting Season for Imported and Native Game, License Fee, &c., Lakes District Acclimatization District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game—viz., Californian quail—may be killed within the Lakes District Acclimatization District, comprising the County of Lake (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto), from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, both days inclusive. And I do further notify that licenses to kill such imported game within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and that the Postmasters at Queenstown, Arrowtown, Kingstown, and Pembroke are hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses to kill imported game.

And I do further notify that the following native game—viz., grey duck, pukeko, and black swan—may be killed within the above-mentioned district (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, both days inclusive; and I do hereby restrict the number of such native game that may be killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twenty-five head in all.

SCHEDULE.

AREAS WHEREIN IMPORTED AND NATIVE GAME SHALL NOT BE KILLED.

1. THE lake known as Lake Hayes, near Queenstown, Wakatipu, and an area half a mile in width surrounding the said lake.

2. All that part of the Fiordland National Park which is in the County of Lake.

3. All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 4,400 acres, more or less, being part of the waters of Lake Wakatipu and land in the vicinity.

4. Part of Lake Wanaka (see New Zealand Gazette No. 55, of the 28th May, 1914, page 2213).

5. All lands notified or set apart as sanctuaries or reserves for the preservation of imported or native game.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game—viz., cock pheasants and Australian quail—may be killed within the Mangonui-Whangaroa Acclimatization District, comprising the Counties of Mongonui and Whangaroa (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto), from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, both days inclusive; and do hereby restrict the number of cock pheasants that may be killed by any one person in any one day to twelve. And I do further notify that licenses to kill such imported game within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and that the Postmasters at Mangonui, Awanui, Fairburn’s, Kaeo, Saies, Waiharara, and Kaitaia are hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses to kill imported game. And I do further notify that the following native game—viz., grey duck, teal, spoonbill duck, pukeko, and black swan—may be killed within the above-mentioned district (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, both days inclusive; and I do hereby restrict the number of such native game that may be killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twenty-five head in all.

And I do further notify that licenses to kill such imported game within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the Chief Postmaster at Blenheim and the Postmasters at Havelock, Canvastown, Mahakipawa, Renwicktown, Timatanga, Kekeranga, Picton, Nydia Bay, Seddon, Spring Creek, Ward, and Wairau Valley are hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses to kill imported game.

And I do further notify that the following native game—viz., grey duck and black swan—may be killed within the above-mentioned district (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, both days inclusive; and I do hereby restrict the number of native game that may be killed by any one person in any one day to twelve head in all.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District bounded towards the north-east by the ocean from the north-western end of the Boulder Bank, at the mouth of the Wairau River, to the south-eastern end of the Boulder Bank. at the north-eastern corner of Section No. 10 of Block II, Omaka, situated in Block III, Clifford Bay Survey District; thence towards
